Fell asleep I figured you had alot of shit to do, I just woke up now but got the next 3'days off. Sorry Paul I just figured to was too late to call.. Got anything planned the next couple days?

Okay boyz, I have a project for you.
I just gave away my red Cherokee to Sara White, a high school senior who lives near Scott (Sky Valley.)
The Cherokee doesn't run right now. My son connected the battery up backwards and caused some electrical issue that I have not been able to track down (didn't spend too much time on it though.)
Cal gave me a new computer for it (although I have no idea if it was any good) and I still couldn't get it to fire.
Sara will be joining NAXJA and will be posting up looking for help.
I sure would appreciate the help from the Dez Rats getting it going again.
BTW its an 88.
Anyway, let her make the first move (posting up in the SoCal forum) and maybe we can schedule a get together at thier place and track down the problem.

Not a problem...More than happy to help..Thats just what we do..
 
Rick, did it crank over and not start or did it do nothing? I would think it blew the inline fuse...Just starting to think of stuff to check..

Paul start reading about the CPS please..I'll start reading and checking other stuff that could be a problem..

Tone we need to TEST first..I don't throw parts at a car..Cost way to much and i am CHEAP..Hell LQ scott told me to remove mine an clean it, the dam thing works better now than it has in 3 years of driving it..:worship: LQ scott, let me tell you..Even if he doesn't like the DESERT RATS anymore cause HE got a HOT ROD..:rolleyes:
 
Got a buddy that works at napa having him grab it for me and if I don't need it I'll return it... I have no way of testing it and I need it fixed so this is my last $60 till I get paid again might as well try it..
 
I have a drop on my T-CASE, this made it easy to change..Took longer to get tools out than to pull the darn thing off..Look at it real good so you know what bolt to pull first, this way you can't drop a bolt inside..I sanded all the area that sits on the houseing and cleaned the end off, found out it was covered in oil..

Cranky...no start. Could be CPS (I have a spare for my '96, but don't know if they are the same.)
I wouldn't think that would be the problem though. I'm thinking fusable link?
But I have no experience with the Renix systems.
Wait....let me think...I dont recall if it even cranked now.
