So Cal desert rats

So I've been messin around with the CB tonight at work... Picking up people from SF, UT, KY, AL, TX... Some old mad has CB hacks cause he was beaking off, telling me "cobra 19, is that all you got?" how the heck did he find out what cb I have? I don't think I'm transmitting well cause only some people respond..
 
So what are you trying to do:dunno:? You want to talk across the world you need to SPEND some bucks.(BIG).. Now not all the folks will talk to you, i mean we do cause your a member...:D..The radio you have is bottom of the line, he can tell by how you hit his meter and sound..The wifes has a ping sound when she keys it down..Now i have a real nice one in my garage, i won't run it in my jeep.(to much money to replace)...
 
Yea I hear you on putting some money into it not worth it but I'm gettig some clear reception from the people with base stations it's making me sick! Leaving work now...

Honestly you really only need it to work over a distance of 1/2 a mile at the most... trust me I've NEEDED !! one to work even with skip to ?? and it didn't.

They're good to have to talk to folks IN your group... other then that forget it. Well then we'll have to talk about someone else...

I'll be going out to the XJ in a few mins what Ch. are you on ? I'll holler...

Tone, if you were picking people up from the south east, even with skip, your receiver is working. How far was this guy bagging on you radio? How close is the nearist house?
Sounds like it's working fine. We'll get it as close as we can but I think you are there. Though it does confuse me a bit. The Bling Spring is part of your total distance of the antenna. If useing a "wire" antenna it would be close to 30 meters long.
