BUT i have a axle with brakes sitting here in my yard by the enclosed trailer.I told tone about it but he just cut the crap up an now he can't go camping with us.

Which could be a good thing curt cause i keep hearing banjos when tones around.

Well chit, i just got the news that my M I L is now coming out thursday.:helpme:Thats like 3 days, i pray this humid crap gets out of here so i can go out to my garage and hide. I guess 9 days isn't that bad, is it?:hang:

nice paul. 2qts of gear oil should do the trick right, i plan on doing the cover in the morning if i can wake up before the heat!

I give up.I went to go to the parts house in the wifes jeep, it has AC in it. So i hop in and turn the AC on and all i get is hot air.WTF? I get out an take a look, won't kick the comp on.So i get me my spare can and gauges check my levels, IT is BONE dry.I refill it and she cooling again, but it worked sunday all day. I don't get it.It was putting out 36 when i was sitting here in the yard and it was 109 outside. So i know it wasn't low sunday afternoon

The cheby held it's freon unless I turned the AC on, then it had a moderately slow leak. Two days & the pressure was low enough so it didn't kick on again. I had to replace the high side hose.

Can I ask if any of you "rats" have bought a alternator or a starter from Autozone for your 4.0? If so I have a favor to ask :-)

Thats just it, i ran this every day. I charged it for truck haven and it has been perfect. Over night this thing was flat, it is holding the same numbers now after this morning fix.

Scott, Cyndee, & Curt--

Thanks for the great company and BS session on Saturday at Red Robin, and for jumping me in the parking lot after stuffing Cal's junk in my trunk... :wow:. I'm glad we got to meet up and I got to see you three again (and sorry I missed seeing everyone else). But it saved me from dinner at the Casino with 6 coworkers from other branches (Yaaaaaawwwwwwnnnn).

On another note, I think that the 117* :flame:Palm :flame:Desert:flame: heat :flame: finally killed my battery, though. It started okay Sunday a.m. after being jumped Saturday night, but was somewhat reluctant this a.m.

Either that, or my alternator doesn't charge up the battery for beans when the A/C is running... possible, with that tiny little 1.5 engine.

I've had that car for 2-1/2 years, and this last weekend was the first time I was inspired to add r134a & try the A/C. It blew somewhat cool, then cold, then blah, then cold... but enough that my windows stayed rolled up and I survived the trip home.

So if running the A/C keeps the battery from charging well, then running the A/C is the issue; if not, it's the battery going bad. So it's either the A/C or the D/C, right? :D I do know I was on the Highway To (and From) Hell this weekend!!!

Off to go see if Screaming Mimi will start okay, before everyone bails from work!

Carol
