So Cal desert rats

I got my NEW Diabetic supplies, been waiting like a month for them to clear up the red tape crap. But now i can start checking it like i should and maybe take care of myself better.Done the classes and now i got more crap to do with this stuff. No fun.

Air fare does suck. We spent three weeks on the Big Island this summer and we spent about $700 round trip each. But heck, my Dad owns the place so we paid no rent!

The wife and i have talked about going, but she wants to go thru the Panama canal instead, i think that would be a lot more fun for us.

Any of the rats ever install a full hydro system? I'm getting to that part of the project and anticipate spending Sunday installing.
Wanna' help?

I'd like to help but I've no way to get there. Sorry.

I'm on cleaning house & moving furnature detail... plus I know JACK about hydo steering be it assist or full hydro.

Oahu, Waikiki area... the house im staying at is literally touching Diamond Head crater. the good news is that i don't have to pay for anything. The bad news is that i dont have time to play while im here.

I will try to make it Friday, no promises.....and scott I know I owe a lot to all u desert rats for helping me! My wife and I will be out more too as the baby gets to be more manageable. I love my little girl to death and with that comes big priority changes in life. Working Friday and saturdays doesn't help either cause that's when most of the M&G's and runs happen. I love how I have 3 and 4 days off a week but unfortanitly that's also when the rest of the world is working.

What days off do you get?

Thanks scott! I have sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other wednesday off. I am looking forward to it cooling off and we can do some day runs so the whole family can come.

Scott, I was watching some show the other day and I just put together what I heard & later observed.
First this seems like it would be good for thin material, like sheet metal to maybe 3/32 thick as one pass. And as a second pass for looks on thicker material.
The Guy did one of those welds that looks like a knocked over stack of nickles. Didn't see Him welding but I heard Him, it was an On & Off, On & Off kind of sound. I still need to try it but I think You melt a pool between both pieces of material, like normal, but don't continue. release the trigger and move along the weld a 1/16" maybe less and buzz another pool. And move along doing this over and over.
Can't wait to try it.

I'll try it on the tear i have in my body of MY jeep.I guess i flexed it to much.OH well live and learn. This is in the rear of the jeep, found it when installing a stock bumper on it.

No problem Aaron.
We'll get a family friendly run going for you and your family this coming season. We can run out an check the Borrego Springs free standing Art work.I was there a year or 2 ago.Kinda of cool looking stuff this guy has put up.All on easy smooth roads and you can walk around from one to the other at some spots, but most you have to drive to them. Here is a link if you want to look at them.

If not we can run around the old roads out by the mines off the 10 fwy and see what we can find there.Been doing some reading about places for the wife and i to go to for day trips this season.

Also found this area to go and look at.looks like a good day trip and the roads are easy, i think we could take street cars, but i'll take my jeep.
