Trust me I know better but I was checking something underneath it was dark I was dumb, it's funny cause 2secs before I thought I should turn the engine off... Then I was like nah it will only take a sec... Good news is the rad is in and it runs :) bad news was I couldn't figure out how to rig up the trans cooler, now I gotta wait till tOmorrow to try to put it on bummer

you are seriously lucky to have any fingers at all left. I have a customer that did that exact same thing, leaning underneath to look for leaks after swapping a radiator, and lost all 4 fingers. In the car club my dad was in one of the guys had leaned over to adjust the carb on his hot rod and got a finger caught in the fan and it pulled his arm in up to the elbow, enough to stop the engine. You are a very lucky kid.
 
Exactly what Im thinking, I had someone watching over me that's for sure! Could have been 100 times worse, lesson learned and I'm going to get a scratch off lottery ticket, they just gOt done fixin me up gonna go take the jeep for a spin now and see how the new rad works :) I'm excited

Your so lucky, should be gone. They are called fan blades for a reason. If We can keep You from killing Yourself, You'll end up a good wrench.
 
Lets see, I watch some buthead reach in for his $200.00 sunglasses(yes his motor was running)..Now WHOOOOOOO was that you ask? I can not say cause he was mad at me laughing at him the first time..LOL..
 
No leaks from the rad either so I guess I am lucky and I did it right or at least the install part not the test/look for leaks part
 
Not Me, or You'd be calling Me Lefty. Now I did drop a BRAND NEW top of the line pair of Wayfarers into My 250's fan...And watched them disintegrate into itty bitty pieces. That I did do, to My chagrin. I've had My Maui Jims for 5 years, I'd still have those wayfares too, Damn It.

Bout the only two places you can Ski in the AM then wheel down to the beach & surf the afternoon swell...

Man does it always get harder before it gets better? Just had a ultra sound done on my liver..Did i say how much i hate doctors? They make me leave my gun at home now..Find out in a couple of weeks whats up with the liver..Then after that i am going out an BEAT MY F*%KING JEEP..:flamemad:
