Any one in here ride sleds? more important does anyone have enough snow to ride? I live in Erie PA and we are not getting any snow this year. Got a brand new sled and know where to ride.

the rain wiped out all our snow.. but that doesnt stop the good ole boys from sleddding.. they run grass drags at a bunch of farms around here in the pre- and post-season..

Yeah, we got grass drags around here to except now you might need a snorkle. I'm not really into rideing in mud. Sometimes you have to do it but I'm not doing it on purpose.

I feel for ya, we just rode 750 miles north for the holiday, but got skunked on snow to ride. My little bro has an old school Polaris 500 triple, and I wish the rain we saw on 12-24 was a bit more flaky. It would have been a good storm, as it was pouring hard down around the Cape Cod Canal

Curious but in my travels up & back on 95, I don't recall seeing ANY sleds in transit on trailers

In my past experiences, the best way to guarantee NO snow up there was by having a running sled and lots of gas money.

"the best way to guarantee NO snow up there was by having a running sled and lots of gas money". To funny, but so true. I really messed things up this year I went out and bought a brand new sled. Plus I have know problems w/ my plow truck. Man it might not snow all winter in my area. There calling for a high of 55 Sunday, looks like were going wheelin instead of riding. Think snow.

the sleds all head north to VT on I91... too fast.. trailers too wide.... no wide towing mirrors.. left lane all the way!! can't think of how many times ive almost been wiped out by one that didnt know there was someone behind him...
lets all pray to the snowgods because all this nice weather is making me angry the trail rig isnt up and running.. gimme some snow as at least an excuse cause i dont like snow-wheeling.. and the sled boys need to get out of the house before the wife kills em for tearing up the lawn..

I was hoping for a good winter for snowmobiling because I didn't have any time for 'wheelin over the summer. We had one decent storm to start out, but unforunately not much after that. I'm heading up to the Pocono area near some state trail systems the week of the 5th, but it isn't looking too promising. I have a '95 Polaris XLT 600 triple, and a couple vintage John Deeres.

Yeah, this year is just not looking good. I just bought a brand new ski-doo rev long track. To bad it didn't come w/ a snow maker. We usually go to Canada early Jan. but its not looking good there either.

I almost bought an '03 Leftover mxz renagade during fall, glad I didn't.

"...a couple vintage John Deeres."

LOL I remember those! Their hot machine was the Liquifire.

Mattblack, The new rev chassis is so nice, you cant even imangine. I only got to ride once so far this year, but after the first 5 minutes I had no more buyers remorse. Oh and old liqu-fires rock!

Thats awesome! My Dads buddies all had liqafires. I think thats the first snowmobile I ever seen go across open water.
