I wanted to start a thread posting and stories mishaps foolies any one has to share.

I slide once into a ditch taking a corner. Wasn't really moving. But I got out fine. Had friends with me they were impressed.

I was following a friend home, he was in a 2wd. Explorer sporttrac out of nowhere he goes sliding all over the place. We weren't going faster then 10mph. It took a f350 and 4 guys pushing and bouncing to get him out of the ditch.

Last I had a friend in 2wd 07 tacoma prerunner get stuck at the bottom of a 1/4 mile driveway on a hill. I was able to strap him up the hill.

That's it for now. What about you guys

at the end commencement of this snow storm I have started Eric's towing and recovery for the neighborhood. I towed a jeep in the middle of a field in woodland. I casually almost went off the road today driving thru these crazy ass ice ruts and saw a line up of suvs off the road in the area. My work is full of girls and gave me tons more shit to do. And I will be ditching my shitty tsl's for a better tire by summer.

I pulled 2 Toyota pu/4x4's out of a ditch over off of 110th in tumwater and 1 ford excursion (i had to chain my self to a telephone pole and winch it out using a snatch block) all 3 were about 1/4 mile apart on the same road at the same time!

sorry no photos.

at work we got some trailers deliverd and the driver got stuck in the ditch backing in. had martin way blocked for about 20 min.

I saw someone slide into the center barrier on the freeway cutting off an H2 hummer causing the hummer so slide sideways all the way into the slow lane and then flipping over on the guardrail causing everybody that was going 70mph to start sliding everywere. I didnt see what else happened to the rest of the cars because i was going the opposite way on I5 by olympia.

Saw a jackknifed semi in a ditch near algona.
Almost got taken out by a few spinning minivans.
pulled my friends geo out of a ditch.

I also counted about 25 car wrecks on my drive back from tenino to auburn
during the snow and ice storm.

Pulled a trimet bus out of a snow bank
Pulled 3 passenger cars out
pulled a couple fullsize trucks out.
Me and some friends pulled a '93 bronco back up a cliff
I had a bus driver push me onto the median (island with trees) while going down sandy tonight.

-Saw dozens of spinning tires for a long time up a small hill by the alderwood mall, and the cops having to shut the roads down to let a semi truck turn around when he couldn't make it up.
-On my way to go shopping watched a mini van parked next to me on a downward slope spin tires forever, I offered them a tug...they took it. So I got to crawl on the ground hooking up a strap and pulled them out no problem.
-Pulled a Nissan for about a mile to get him to a safe parking lot to leave his car when it broke down on him.
-Helped push an old ladys car out of a parking lot

Bought a super sick flashing amber light for the roof of the XJ for future recovery's (desided after the mini van pull that being sideways on a road is bad, as people can't see your flashers.)

Oh and got to experience death wobble about 5 times on ice on my way to get a new shock when I lost my old one.

rounded a corner on the downhill side of a high mountain pass at night ,it was dark icy and snowing. Saw some flashing lights, dropped the anchor and barely stopped it time, a 4runner had rolled landed on its side in the middle of the road, crap everywhere( she must have been moving or something) , lone driver very shaken and crying as her dog perished in the accident.Sent my girl way up the road with a mag flashing and waving for people to slow down and made some quick time and righted her jeep and pulled it to the laneside. Had to abort a few times and get the heck outta the jeep and onto the other side of the barrier as several cars and a semi came sliding sideways towards us. Tried to collect some of her belongings scattered as we waited for the 50 and the ambulance, The ambulance driver gave us a bundle of flares, we set them all up on either side of the scene and went on our merry way. I later found out it's a big no no to mess with a wrecked vehicle,I just did what I thought was right the cops didn't even say a thing.

I wish I could remember them all. I've been the Sherwood McMenamins taxi so I've spent a lot of time on the road. I think I've pulled something around 15 cars out around Sherwood and Newberg (plus a few in the gorge) since the first Sunday. My strap has gotten a FANTASTIC workout and my chains are definitly what made the difference in many occasions.
I also got pulled out once, foolishly thinking I could drive up towards Bald Peak on the slick stuff without chains I ended up in the ditch and had to get a tug from a passerby in a F250

Lets see if i get them all...
Helped push about half a dozen cars.
Then pulled out,
-Lowered Mustang
-F250 on 38's (4wd wasn't engaging or something. He was trying to help the mustang)
-Ram 3500 (thought he was parking on pavement turned out to be super soft mud underneath)
-Newer Acura outta the ditch
-Tried to help pull out a Loomis Fargo Armored truck but did not work (hooked up to a police Durango and double teamed it)
-F350 2wd out of a snow bank (pulled off the road and could not get back on)
-F250 2wd (just didn't know how to drive)
-And finnaly had to pull my self off a "Snow Built" Flex Ramp using a come-a-long, tow strap, and choker chain hooked to a fire hydrant. (some hispanic guy my Girlfriend works with wanted to see my jeep flex...Guess i showed him.)

Wow. NICE stories.

I had a GREAT F...ING TIME. I couldn't wait to get off work and Drive.

I am one of the very few MoFo's that did not call into work. But I did hear alot of horror stories about the accidents.

Finally got the Jeep running on Wed and took the kids out for a ride on our messy backroads. Learing to drive like Matt.

trackbar mount on my axle broke, I can't get a tow because it's not an accident blocking traffic.

We can change that. :rof:

I put a hole or ripped off the drain plug on the oil pan on my Saturn. Its lowered, and plowing through the frozen chunks of ice this morning beat the sh!t out of the bottom. :explosion

Saturn Lowered :looser:

Fail.

I got rearended in the wifes grand cherokee, seen the guy sliding sideways in my mirror so i hit the gas but he still got me!! No damage to my rig but he lost a corner light and dented his fender. probally would have been worse if i didnt see it coming.
I pulled out a astro van stuck in their driveway and a 4x4 dually chev that tryed to turn around in an intersection and barely got stuck, and i helped a lady push out her van, she was pretty smart, she dug out the snow from her tires and laid her chains down to get traction so she barely needed any help to get back on the road.
I love the snow but im starting to get sick of it cause i cant work when there is alot of snow on the ground.:smsoap:

I ran over a leftover snow pile today. It was the most action my Heep has seen in 3 months. The weatherman says that it will hit 65 on Sunday.

had a blast drivin in this crap ! untill my heater blower finally decided to take a dump on me the 2nd day into it. so i drove the durango when i could. wow that thing kicks ass in the deep stuff. better than the jeep i think :shhh:. anyway had fun doing recoveries in the parking lot at work. crappy part was the 2 hours i spent morning and evening taking everyone to and from work.

so friday afternoon i get a call from my buddy Stevie (guy in the 4runner) some of you know him. he says hey, wanna use that winch ? tells me his friend is off the road on foster and he's not sure how bad it is. but we are meeting at 7pm. so i spend an hour prepping the jeep making sure we are loaded for bear and hit the road.

this is what we were up against....
100_1401.jpg

the road is about 5 feet off to the right in the picture and about 4 feet higher than the field he is in.

anyway needless to say it was so easy a toyota could do it. (even this one, that was on it's lid the week before, lol.)

i was pretty much a traffic cop. didn't even have to turn off the jeep. :bawl:20 minutes later the guy was out and on his way.

this is the tail end of it. nothing to exciting but....

Got to use my flashing amber magnet mount light yesterday for the Jeep. Pulled off the road into a parking lot around 8:30pm after work because I was starting to get DW, so I checked things out, found my trackbar way loose...tightend it up and started to leave when I noticed an impala sideways with flashers going and a guy shoveling snow. I offered a tug, and before I knew it was laying down trying to get a tow strap under his car around the cross brace. Pull it up to a flat surface and unhooked near the road (busy speedway) and waited to let him go, he went no where (front wheel drive Impala with low-pros), hooked the strap back up and just pulled him out on the road and to the nearest turn lane to unhook him. Shook his hand after the 30min. pull and went on my merry way.

Note to self: People may sound like a dick when you're helping/offering to help, but it's just because they're frustrated for being stuck and not owning a sick Jeep like you.
