well, i was pulling my trailer on the highway on ramp when all of a sudden smoke started coming from under the hood and into the cab. when i pulled over i raised the hood and would step on teh gas and smoke would come out of my valve cover breather and i noticed quite a bit of oil also being pushed out and leaking everywhere from that same breather. i hope its nothing serisous. any diagnosis. its a 98 4.0 auto. thanks

It sounds like it over heated, is it out of water? What was the tempreture, is it working?

tempurature read just over 210 which i've seen before. but it could have spiked while i was climbing the hill and i didn't notice.

The only time I got my valve cover to smoke like a smoke stack was when I blew a connecting rod through the block. and the piston was banging around in there like a rock in a tin can.

yeah, the engine isn't making any noise like theres anything broken or anything. i checked the pcv but i'll check where it connects to the intake and see if that is clogged
