smog questions:

is it better to smog a vehicle with deeper gears and smaller tires? Deeper gears and bigger tires or stock gears and smaller tires or stock gears and bigger tires? The issue is 3.55 or 4.88 gear ratio and 31's or 33's.

i wouldnt think it will matter they are testing your emissions not how well your gear ratio and tire size works.....

LOL... I don't know I smogged my old XJ with 4.11's and 31's. Now I"m picking up an XJ with 3.55's and 31's and I will have to smog it and I got 4.88's in axles and 33's that I wanna try to drop in

What can I say... I'm itching to get to the point that I had it at before.

OK... what I meant was I'm getting a new XJ (97) and I will need to smog it and whatever helps me smog it works for me. If it's better to smog it with bigger meats.. I'll put them on. IF it works better with deeper gears I'll swap that in first. I didn't mean for it to sound that I wanna put the axles just to smog it...

Ok I realized that I'm probably making little sense by now
