Smileys anyone?

Recently I have been unable to use smileys or open the 'more' page. When I click on one; the page jumps to the top, but no smiley. They used to work just fine. I've tried disabling Norton; no help there. Any clues? I am using WinXP and Crazy Browser (which runs on top of I.E., like a skin) and connected on DSL. Thx- RJ

Sounds like a browser reletaed setting, or an aggressive setting to prevent sites from launching new windows.

Popup blocker or software firewall will sometimes do that. I have to adjust mine when I go to the school website so I can get into some areas...

I cant even use 'Bold-Italics-Underline' or anything else at the top of this post(?) window.
I notice at the bottom of the page it says "HTML- Off"...I cannot find anyway to change this, all my browser settings are enabled. I've tried disabling Norton; but that didn't help. I am clueless on how to fix this. Please help.

Hi. html is off site wide, not just you. You can, however use vB code (click on "vB code" down where you saw html is "off".... that will show you the options).

I still suspect the problem is with your browser though. You can try to go to the UserCP and select a different option in the "Edit Options" for the Editor. Looks for the "Message Editor Interface and try a different level.

Also, try your F5 key to make sure you reload the elements of the page that make all of that happen.

Ok, now the HTML code is "ON". How'd that happen? Still, nothing is working, I tried F5- no help. I've tried different editor settings, only Standard works. Tried different skins; no fix there. What setting specifically am I looking for in I.E. (or Norton) to change? It used to work just fine awhile back; can't think of any changes I made to stop it from working.

WTF? Now HTML is "OFF" again; what the hell is going on? I've made zero changes since the last post. I was looking for the vB code thingy and in my Edit Options page the IMG was "OFF", came back here and it's "ON", but HTML went "OFF".....too weird.
vB code is "ON"- should it be "OFF"?
Nevermind that- If I click on anything at the top of a thread (Thread Tools/Search Thread/Display Modes, the scale thing) it just takes me to the bottom of the page.
I added this site to my "Trusted Sites", over-ridden cookie handling in "Security"; what else can I do?
Think I should try uninstalling/re-installing this thing? Is this even possible? I've had my PC off a few times in the last week, so it's been thru a reboot. What is the damned problem here? Thanks for your help. (wish I could use a smiley here)

Sorry, with that description, I am a bit at a loss. Though it is surely related to your browser or settings.

Nobody is sitting here switching settings fron "On to Off", nobody has the time to do that for fun.

Most every modern version of IE works correctly. Even a brand new "out of the box" XP machine had no problem with it today.
