lol. Well I am glad you got through it... Im hoping before I go out with you guys that I get my Hella's and my front bumper installed.
 
hey guys i had a friggin blast and yea it was cool lettin my buddy jon climb my jeep to roll it.... to bad i dont have that much of a beeter or i would have done it as well...but all in all great meetin new people and i will post more pics on as well

by the way thats my fat ass on dutchs hood helpin him get unstuck...also the scrap was that yota backin into me...he didnt realize i was behind him and yea i am a little nuts lettin him drive up my jeep to roll his...but it was funny huh lol
 
Guys, I hate to be a kill-joy here..... but that intentional roll of that 'Yota was a perfect example of EXACTLY why the greenies and folks that live close by want to close trails like Slaughterhouse down.

Thoughtless entertainment is what that was. Any consideration given to these factors?

-Clearly, there was a passenger. No regard to their safety - no door, no cage. Had he/she put their hand or leg out, or hit their head...... need I say more?

-Fluid spills. I'm sure that no one intended to spill any fluids, but there's always the potential for a massive issue with a spill where a roll is concerned. Luckilly, there's no evidence of any spill in the photos, but he did roll it on the gas filler side, and depending on the vehicle, oils can run right out of the dipsticks awfully quickly.

-Posting pics of intentional "stupidity" is dangerous - you think only 4-wheeling enthusiasts visit our website? It's public domain and photos like that can be saved by those that would oppose us and use them against us in keeping trails open.

Sorry guys, but I find an intentional roll of a vehicle on public trails not cool.

Please PLEASE be smart and careful when 'wheeling on public lands. :thumbup:
 
in reguards to yella....there was no fluid spilled and the pass in the yota was harnessed in and held over because he wanted to be in it when it went on its side....so dont try to rain on peoples parade...we all had fun safely and didnt mess up anything so please b4 you open up your mouth know the facts!!! you were not there so dont try to act like you knew what happened..:twak:
 
True there was no cage, but as stated both the passenger and driver of the yota were harnessed into racing buckets and the kid was rold not to brace against the side of the vehicle and to lean away from the side of impact. It wasn't an instataneous roll over and we made sure all spectators were clear of the vehicle before it was giving the go. Also I had a campo shovel and bucket in my vehicle so if any fluid had spilled we would have been more than capable of removing all contaminated dirt. I was fully OSHA cert. in my union for eviromental safety and was also partially responsible for EPA compliance for my maint. unit while in Iraq. It wasn't just a bunch of idiots standing in a circle watching the thing roll. It was a bunch of well educated and responsible idiots :)

Looks like you guys had a blast! My partner-in-crime almost has her talked into letting us go out again. Just one of those things about wheeling the DD, you need it to run after the fun is over. I think if we made this trip, and he came home telling her how somebody else had a rollover, she'd have a cow...again.

I'm not trying to attack anyone here. I just think that before YOU open your mouth, you need to spend some time learning about how badly our access to public lands is being attacked. Don't be ignorant on the subject. I didn't need to be there to feel any different about this. If I had been there, I'd have encouraged the guy to think twice about it.

If folks wanna trash their junk - that's certainly their business, but doing so on public lands and then posting up, bragging about it doesn't help to keep our access to public lands. Plain and simple. I didn't jump to any conclusions, I simply stated what could very easily be assumed from the pics posted up and the comments posted in this thread...... The same or worse assumptions would be made by those that want don't enjoy our hobby/sport. I wanted to put my $.02 in on the subject to be sure our Chapter folks are constantly thinking of the image we're putting out there.

Many of us fly Chapter stickers proudly - if those stickers are displayed on any vehicle in pictures that depict reckless conduct on public lands...... Where do you think the greenies are gonna focus their attention? It's also solid evidence for the BLM or USFS to come and sanction the owner/driver or club as well.

Again, please, just be smart and safe.

Seeing that Im the "tard" in the yota. I decide I would have to become a member of this forum. Oh and that I have owned more xj's/jeeps then most people I know in there senior sitizenhasta ....

Anyway, I had a blast with all that came up wheeling, and thanks Eric for the invite. Met a some really cool people on this forum, that I hope to go wheeling with again. As for the flop, all in good fun, but that was no kid in the seat next to me... That was my buddy, who is a 22 year old midget! Think of it this way,my buddy had double the fun!!!
 
HARRY whats up dude it was great out there and deff gonna do it agian...everyone had a blast watching you fuck up the yota...cant wait til the gruggy is goin for t$ so we can all have a blast also i need your number dont have it anymore
