Sierra "Karma" thread

Anyone need:
8.25 27 spline, held 33's perfectly. Needs brakes
Stock shakles
Rustys 4.5" lift coils and LCA

I could use:
Fire extinguisher
D30 axle shafts
Welding lessons

But seriously my winch's positive cable to the battery grounded out and started a little fire while I was trying to get out of a little off camber situation, while my buddy in a CJ7 who was right behind me was laying on it's side. Then while putting that out I guess the catalytic converter got too close to some oil and another fire started above it. And about an hour earlier I had given 94xjstud my fire extinguisher...Murphy's Law.

Here are a couple shots of the incident...

Hey 94xjstud, I can bring a fire extinguisher for you to the Hollister run, if you'd like, I believe I have a couple 5lb ABC's floating around my garage.

Sorry guys... had to do it... this was just way too ironic! :roflmao:

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing on the way home from Hollister! But at least my "Karma" was good enough to allow me to be able to drive out of the situation and get home! :laugh3:

What are the odds? :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:Glad you got home OK.

Thanks Revrok, so far everything is ok! I beefed up my ground circuit, and the only other issue is a hole melted in the plastic evap that goes around the firewall. Temporarily taped to keep dirt out...JY trip this weekend!

You got off easy (I'm glad)... my last 4x4 fire was an old Scout in the Ruby Mountains (Northern NV). The fuel pump wires fused and the hose burned through... tank was nearly full. It spewed burning gas against the underside of the hood. I had an extinguisher, but no way to use it! Needless to say, it burned everything that wasn't metal while I shoveled dirt on it to keep the fire from spreading. It really would have made a great video!

How was the trip? - Tim

OK will check over the weekend and PM you. Happy Easter!

Easter was hectic... have not forgotten you if you are still interested I have a number of 4 door models, but none for the F150. We can adapt them with a little ingenuity though.

hey man i think i am headed your way on memorial weekend. A group of us from Bakersfield are hitting up the rubican trail so i think i may stop by for the side bars when i go up there
