shaved heads, in style now?

Mine is shaved and I love it. Dont have to mess with it if you slept on it wrong (if you care that much), and its dry in 30 seconds. Keep in mind that Im 17, so it will grow back :laugh3: so that is not an issue for me. If you do have scars on your head, they do show up, so keep that in mind.
So, you're a liar then?

Or am I missing something?

The only ones around here with shaved heads are cops and ricer drivers and gang bangers. Im none of the above. and If I shave my head again Im afraid Ill never see hair on my head again. Badboy? shaved head? more like loosers who shop at goodwill for their pants and undies, if they wear any. you can look how you want, dont mean your shit but a poser like all us "harley guys" are as someone said. sorry ,I dont have a goatte either. to trendy IMO, kinda like NASCAR. WWF on wheels. Try racing the Paris Dakar if you wanna see dangerous and hard. Pavement is for XXXXXXs.

What do you mean, in style "now"? How about Telly Savalas? Yul Brynner? Heck, how about Sigourney Weaver in Alien Resurrection? Now THAT was hot...
I've been shaving my head with a razor since '95, I started thinning on top back in '92 and finally said 'tahelwidit!" I used to only shave it in the summer and let it grow back in the winter, but after I got married in 2000 and HATED the pictures of me, I have been shaving it every day since. I use a Gilette Mach 3 and soap, and keep the skin good with St. Ives Aloe Vera lotion for extremely dry skin.
I, too, like the simplicity- five minutes in the shower, and I'm all good. I will agree, however, that there are some heads that look better with hair on them, but I've never seen a head that refuses to grow hair that wouldn't look better completely bald. It seems they know they look good without it, and cast it off. :D I still maintain that 'those who can grow hair, should'. If I could grow hair on top, you're dang tootin that I'd be sportin a mullet, or a headbanger, or hell I'd wear a mohawk, if only SOMETHING would grow! :((

Its a solar panel for a sex machine. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just shave your head. Then shave your back, chest, armpits and legs. Then try waxing, or Nair. Try shaving little designs into your hair. It can make you feel really pretty.

I noticed that too. However, other members (I know of at least one) have been allowed to join underage with the parent technically owning the membership.

I had long hair in high school, had average hair in the Air Force, now that the male pattern baldness is getting a foothold its getting progessively shorter. Right now I'm using a #1 (1/4") and when I get a definitive bald spot going it will be BIC time.

BTW...I am fat (burly), bald (buzzed), and very goateed!

I have never been in the military, but I keep mine at #1 with my $20 clippers. Mostly so I dont have to "do" anything with it, and to hide the grey that is popping up.. I figure everyone will be used to it when I start loosing it and will go BIC. . I did try the BIC thing, but I am tall and thin, and did it in the winter... looked like a cancer patient... not the best look...

BTW.. I am thin (overly tall), buzzed, sideburned, and goateed.... think Maynard G. Krebbs...

IMO, I think a close-shaved head is the only way to go - it's a much better look than a "comb-over" or "cauliflower" style hair if you are getting thin on top.

But in your instance, I'd get a "No.1 cut" on the sides taken up about halfway, then get a "No.2 cut" from halfway and blended into your existing length.

That, along with a cut-throat razor to outline the back and around your ears, and you'll be all set.... FWIW, I hate the hairdressers, but I used to date a chick that was a hairdresser by trade a while ago, so I picked up a few ideas along the way....

I still grow all my hair back but I shave mine down pretty close in the summer months. It all started when I had long hair and bought a YJ. Hated the tangles and got pissed(or maybe it was drunk) enough to shave it all off one night. Been doing it ever since....about 10 years.

Thats what i've been thinking about doing. My hair isn't real long now, i'm just getting tired of messing with it. But i've never had my hair that short, I hope my head doesn't look funky shaped with the hair that short.

I couldn't imagine having a shaved head. I have the ''jesus'' hair(thats what ive been told) going on. Last year in 11th grade my friends dared me into cutting my hair into a mullet and shaving my goatee into a fumanchu. Now that was saawwwwweeeeeeetttttttttttt.

Im so confused. What am I lying about?

You said you were only 17 years old. You supposed to be 18 to be a member.

Back to shaved heads...it better be in style 'cuz that's all I have. :D

18 years in the army.....

head shaved with a razor for the last 10 of them or so.....

for what it's worth, if you have lots of hair in the army and shave your head with a razor, it can be considered a violation of the regulation... since it's considered "extreme".... so it's only "within reg" if you have "male pattern baldness" (unless they recently took that out)

but yeah, as soon as mine got even a little thin up top, I was like -- here, let me help you....

it goes in mini-trends, sometimes in the club or whatever, it seems liek there's 10 bald dudes, others, I'm the only one (yay)

As said above, you stated you were 17.

NAXJA by-laws require you to be 18.

And as someone else said, unless your parents have the membership, you're violating the by-laws.

No biggie to me, but NAXJA has requiremetns for the insurance that covers the organization. A minor in the club may be a bad thing, or it may be harmless.

I dont know.

From college forward (military school then Marine Corps) I had a high-and-tight and loved the low maintenance aspect. Even post-Corps I preferred to keep it short, but last spring I shaved it all off because my fiancee's cousin was only three and lost his due to Leukemia. I agree with a few posts about the shape of some heads deserving to be covered with hair, but according to enough female friends mine has a good shape (I trust their judgment on these things). Mom and the fiancee have been pressuring me to grow it again, but I think I may have to disappear my head again well before this summer's wedding.

In the Marine Corps we're allowed to shave our heads with a razor. The rder says something along the lines of no male will be required to shave his head to the scalp except in recruit training, but he shall be allowed to if so desired. That's the Marine Corps order so I don't know if they changed it in the Army or not.

Here's something...why are we a group of (mostly) men talking about our hair?

Didn't seem weird at first, but since it's gone on this long it just doesn't seem ... I dunno .... right.

Insecure?:kissyou:

It's not like we're discussing what types of curlers or hairspray to use... what's more manly than a shaved head?
