Sell it, or keep it?

Lately I have been amusing the thought of selling my first XJ.
I bought a 98 Sport last November and the 97 usually sits around.
Quick specs:
1997 Country fully loaded, 164k miles, 4.0, auto, 4X4, moonroof, wood grain interior accents, chrome grille and headlight doors, clear side markers and turn signal lenses, 3" lift, full coils in front, aal's rear, 31's on Ecco's, custom tail lights, disk brake conversion on rear 8.25, shocks installed to 3" lift, no vibes, rides great on the interstate at 80mph. Other small mods here and there. All monochrome bone white. This unit is the last of the Country editions, hard to find.

And here it is next to my stock 98 Sport

I will not part this out, dont ask. Runs and looks great. Always starts, even during those 25 below zero mornings.
Thinking of going insane with the Sport, big lift, tires, mechanicals.
I have owned the 97 since 2002, always got regualar oil changes, maintenance.
Convince me not to let it go.

It's actually nice enough that my wife just said to me she'd rather have it than the Grand Cherokee we looked at.

I think my answer to your question would depend on how much you could get for it.

That looks like mine did, before I started modifying. Here is what it looks like now.

How much are you wanting to sell it for. Very clean looking jeep.

Around 4k would be about right.

man I always find XJ's in KC for $1500 in decent condition. Never as nice as his is but at $1500 you can get a good deal.

If it was me personally I'd pay 3K for his XJ... it's nice but miles are a bit high, and ultimately I'd want it stock again for my wife, so I'd have to do work.

For someone looking for a good looking light modified XJ this is in the 3-4K range.

Well, we got home from work and I got my answer.
The wife saw this thread and said "Awe HELL NO!!"
This XJ was her DD'er for a few years until I bought her a new car. She does not want to see it go.
I have been talking with her about the possibility of selling, nothing serious. A quick, stern reply quickly followed.
"Go ahead, lift the black one, wheel it, wreck it, whatever. Just don't get rid of the white one."

Works for me. :worship:

God I hope whomever I end up with is as wonderful as that.

What a girl. I salute you wifey :patriot:

hahahaha You should see my wife driving mine. She gets looks everywhere she goes!

Good choice. That White Jeep is just too nice to sell off.

One must always set out to own at least two XJ's. Once achieved ye shall
never dip below the two mark:peace:

My woman has been fighting me about getting a third. LOL
As far as your XJ it would have great company with my 2 XJ's. How much?

As being one who has seen your Jeep in person Curt, don't sell it. That thing is way too clean and has too many rare options such as the sunroof...you need to keep it.
