SEC Photo Thread

Joe I think your ladder is neat. I haven't seen anyone else on this forum do it so its original and creative. Everyone on this forum is quick to bash on someone's jeep and I have no idea why. The ladder doesn't stick out as far as your flares and you haven't ripped those off. What people don't realize is you're a smart wheeler joe. You don't try and force your jeep through a line you know you can't make. Sorry about this soap box but its just annoying when people are first to criticize instead of compliment.

I like how you painted the areas around the rear door handle to look like rust. Nice touch!

:sure:

i know i'm good right?

i avoided the rear ladder because so many xj owners have trouble getting their hatch to stay up on its own without any added weight.

To give credit where its due, someone in the SEC recently posted a thread of their rig with a ladder. I'm too lazy to search at the moment though.

I like the idea of the ladder, as I frequently struggle to get a bike up on my rack, but I too question the survival of the piece. I guess we just wheel in different places and different styles.

there is however NO reason in the world that the ladder needs to be mounted on the side.

if one should for some reason want a rear ladder it would be the same amount of work either way.

Loading a bike from the back doesn't work too well :dunno:.

lol you have a point there.

that was part of the reason i went on the side anyways. easier to get the spare tire off, or load/unload gear.

oh and chief....the ladder only weighs a couple pounds....i'm just sayin...

I've always wanted a Siberian Huskie! Gorgeous dogs! Everytime I find some they always have one blue eye and one green eye! I want two blue eyes!

I guess it's time I posted some pictures.

These are my poochies. The Black one in the back (Demos, pronouned like 'Demon'. It's greek, look it up) is mine and the one with more white on it (Star) is Aprils.

This is another of Demos. We call him Demo for short:

We had a bon fire at my house a couple days ago. My brilliant friend decided to put on his FD turnout gear and walk thru the fire after it died down a lot. We still couldn't get closer than 10 feet.

and last but not least... I got stuck as hell in a dried up creekbed. At least I THOUGHT it was dried up. Apparently, I was wrong. I hate mud! I got to use that pretty blue rope on the front. April sat on the hood to make sure the parking brake didn't let loose and it roll away while I found something to attach the winch to :) :
