OK, there was a bit of a thread jack, but i did put a valid post up first.....

I used the Fel Pro gaskets which has a nice red bead on them... the 'freebie' paper ones did not, so they got tossed.
I also lightly smeared red RTV permatex on both sides... I used very very little...just enough to get some adhesion. I then immediately tightened down both the pump and housing and am letting them cure for over 24 hours before I fill up the anitfreeze.
Hopefully I should be good.

Grey RTV or The Right Stuff. Just a light coat on each side of the gasket.
