glad you got it fixed. my pump acted wierd a week before it died as well. Would shutter at idle and sometimes start weird. Had 120K on my first one.

I've got a fuel pump comeing tomorrow. The mechanic thought I had a different style pump, the older one that would just break when you try to replace the pump only. I'm also getting a strainer and a regulator to go with it. I'll pull the pump tonight and swap it out at work just so I make sure everything is in there correct. I'm going to do the fuel filter while i'm there.
The entire pump assembly is on back order, the pump itsself can be orderd, and it will be here in the morning.

I missed the part about it being free. If you weren't in california I'd definatly go for it, but I need this on the road as soon as possible.

yeah but mine is a 89 and the spare pump is out of a 96. I thought they were different. If they're not then you're right, I should carry it. However there is a lot of other parts that I know that can't use and can't give away. No one wants them....

Its running great now. I got a new Mopar Performance (repackaged Bosch) and a tank screen in it and its runnin like a champ. It was just an amazing coincidince that the pump died when i turned it off after adding the seafoam. It definatly had me running in circles for a while.
