Seafoam Question

I was told that if you use seafoam, loose carbon could fowl up your spark plugs. Is this only if you pour into the crankcase, or even if you just put it in through the vacuum system? I used it on my XJ before and changed the plugs after........but I was wondering if it can still be done without worry that the plugs will not get dirty (like, a certain place NOT to pour in?)

Thanks!

Pouring it in the crankcase could not break loose the deposits in the cylinder, but through the vacuum will. There is a chance that it will screw up the plugs, but if it does, you could always remove the plugs and clean them.
