Beej - you realize you're going to mess with the kids head when he sees that...you KNOW he put it on there as an 'F U' comment...

What were some of the lesser replies?

Oh believe me, It hasn't. All A's except for Algebra, got a 92 in that class.....damn teacher...lol

I have to agree with the school suck thing. I am now sitting in a senior level engineering dynamics course, on a saturday morning, where the teacher has spent the last two weeks teaching the class Excel, yes the program. This is going to be a long semester.

Brief Introduction to Philosophical Thought 100. But I prefer to refer to it as Hypercubic Metacognition 101. Let's see who can figure out why...

okay i'd like to take a guess at this...
hypercubic = points to a mathmatical expression of the 4th dimension?
metacognition = higher intelligence and the use of that intelligence to actively learn (meta being higher level and cognition a form of understanding and learning)?
so...is it that the answers you get are so far out there that they are actually applicable to the question???

really i am just guessing, not being what one would call an intellectual.

i kinda just glided through school, and college (twice). never studied, but never got lower than a 3.5 high school, and a 3.8 college. i have come to the conclusion that intelligence is a funtion of DNA. do a search on psychometrics and that will give you some insight... i made some great friends at school so thats more of what i take from it.
bad professors do exist....more so when you are not really into being in school in the first place.
my favorite professer was this guy from germany. big time engineer with a super thick accent. his accent was what made the course hard. non-destructive testing and failure analysis is otherwise pretty neat.
funny how i get older i feel like i should have paid more attention to the homework than the location of parties...LOL

Good guess Biscuitboy, but not exactly what I mean. Fair enough though, your interpretation is literally accurate, but there are multiple meanings to the words I used, and my intended use is along the lines of other meanings... Any other takers before I give it away? What is meant by "Hypercubic Metacognition"? Anyone, anyone? :lecture:

I couldn't love school more. I spend most of my school day around 3000' so there is nothing to complain about.
'round these parts that would mean you're either a miner or you're a lawyer (buried so deep because deep down they really are nice people).

Was that 3000' MSL, or AGL?? :laugh3:

Yea, school is a pain in the ass... I mean that SAME prof now assigned the class an online quiz to do on a SUNDAY!!!!
AHAH

I'm not saying school is THAT bad, i mean I love what i do, but there are profs that make you second guess why you are in their class.

community college is great. The purpose is to learn but i cant even get into 100 level classes so i sit around with a couple buddies and just stare at girls all day. Its not all that bad i guess. Whats even better about community college is that you can just not do the work and seem to pass classes. The work is definitly hard though. High school did not prepare me for any of the material I have to study. Thank god for hot tutors!
Im tellin ya though, community colleges have great campuses for parkin lot wheelin. I love to drive up curbs to get spots before the two door honda beats me.
sorry im ramblin I better sober up and call it a night

Haha community college is awesome, theres a muddy trail for the service people and i hit that up allll the time...and the girls, man the girls..
