My thoughts on Palin.

Her heart is in the right place.

Her political views pretty much mirror mine.

She looks ok.

She is by far the dumbest political character on the planet. She makes Danny Quail look like a genius.

I think she is doing more to destroy the Republican party than anyone has in recent memory. I wish she would shut the hell up, get out of politics and just keep making her show on TLC which I won't watch because I can't stand to listen to her stupidity.

Kind of like when the current president referred to the "fifty-seven states"

People miss-speak. It happens. When politicians do it, it provided fodder for late-night talk-show hosts and their enemies. Big deal.

I think Palin tries very hard to fit the "politician" mold, but often falls short. This is one of the things that I like about her. She isn't afraid to mis-speak and own it. I'll take that over the outright lies and deception that has become acceptable behavior in Washington.....in both parties. Not sure I'd vote for her as President. :dunno:

The Republicans have made thier own bed........they stopped being Constitutional Conservatives decades ago.

I could not agree more.

And the tea party got co-opted by a bunch of them, so they are pretty worthless too.

Yep, world's going to hell in a handbasket, time to stockpile jeeps, canned food, water, and ammo.
 
Has anyone actually endured the train-wreck that is her reality show? I caught the episode where she went elk hunting with her dad and family friend. For an out-doorsy woman she claims to be, I was very shocked to see her dad needing to cycle the bolt on the rifle, not once, not twice, not three times, lol. When she finally gets another rifle that has more ammo in it, she dropped the elk with a shot directly through the front of the chest. Then as she walks up to the dead elk, she is holding the rifle at port-arms with the scope facing away from her. :laugh:

I guess this sums up her whole life. She is attractive enough to fake the funk and make people believe... then she is found wanting in application of her supposed skills.
 
I wonder just how "stupid" Mrs Palin is. Media has been known to cook up a "caricature" of a public figure, then find every clip, pic, dirty editing trick, you name it, to make it stick. Actually reading about her ideas and looking at her accomplishments, as opposed to listening to whatever sound-bits are currently popular, she comes across as a little more intelligent then watching the news would make you think.

On the other hand, she has some say in the editing process for her show, (presumably at least) and control over what goes into it. If she's portrayed as an idiot there, or at least comes across as one, that would be (at least partially) her own fault.

i could care less about anything else as far as agenda and family skeletons(everyone has em)
her family used to live on same street as my girlfriends family. there were some phone calls made when she came to colorado that i overheard, and she is a moron, if its not written out for her, she doesnt know what she is talking about.

outside of hearing those conversations and hearing how the family ACTUALLY is outside of the TV show/media, i know or care nothing of her

It's hard to believe that -- once upon a time -- TLC used to be a decent channel.
Now its core focus is wealthy midgets, morons, and women with pez dispensers in place of their vaginas.

All the channels are like that now, syfy with WWF on Friday prime time, sheesh. Stupid shows back to back primetime during the week, destroyed the channel on purpose I believe.
As for the media stockpiling footage of stupid stuff, youbetcha, they did it with Ford, every trip on airplane steps or wrinkled red carpet they got.
