San Diego run corral canyon

OK, so the Jeep is finally running again. And it appears to be leak free. However, I literally just finished slapping it together about 10 minutes ago and went for a quick 5 min test drive. So, it looks good, but considering I basically replaced the entire drivers side of the engine bay (or so it feels like), I'm a little hesitant to take it out wheeling until I can get some more test time in, but I gotta run to a family thing now, so that's not gonna happen. Anyone got a spare seat that needs balast...I'd like to come, if for no other reason than to familiarize myself with the place....just don't wanna find out a I made a booboo on a freeze plug while on the trail and either have to tow it off the mountain or go through this all again on the trail. :banghead:

I finally got the Jeep packed and ready for tomorrow. Threw some tools, and some extra fluid together. I picked a up a hose kit for my ARB compressor and got done finishing installing that. I called the Big 5 sports near my house they only sell the annual adventure pass. So I'm thinking I'm going to renegade it. Added to the fact that I'm not bringing the kids, so I'm not worried about stopping to much.

San Diego XJ, I'll have extra seats open. I plan on meeting Homebrew at the McD's on Aero. Pm or just let me know.

Cool! I'll meet you guys on aero, or hopefully, just meet homebrew at his house....figure it's probably safer to leave the honda there then a mickey d's parking lot. =)

hey mike thats cool you can park at my place I plan on leaving here at 830 so I can gas up and grab some water and munchies for the trail

I want to hook up with the group as it heads out the I8 as it goes through El Cajon . Are you going out the 52 to La Mesa or going I8 from McD's?
What channel are we using on CB?
Cell # 619-871-3737

Plan on taking the 8 straight through. Gonna start on channel 4 i guess. Hope to be rollin by 915

I'll be monitoring 146.520 . Eventually I'll put a CB in the jeep. Right now it's not looking good, both leaf packs are laying in the driveway and I'm shuffling springs between the two . Apparently not all RD1462 packs are the same. These are different thickness on the leaves, the sagging one is thinner. Wonder if it's a 3.5 and not a 4.5?? Anyway, talking with MikeG, and am going to try and find a center pin to put the one pack back together. I'm one short at the moment.

Mark

Wish I could help mark hope you get it fixed.

Can I ask for another head count please also who is swinging a CB?

I'll be there and got a CB.I'll moniter ch.4 and look for ya about 9:30 passin through the Cajon Zone.

Hey mike if you wake up and decide not to chance it give me a call and I'll wait for you.

I'm going. I was gonna meet you guys at McDonalds but it's a straighter shot for me if I go down the 67 to the 8 (instead of 15 to 8) about 15 miles straighter.

I have a CB, but transmit is broken. So I can hear, just not talk. I'll be monitoring channel 4 and yakin/monitoring 146.520 though on the ham.

What time was it at the buckman springs restrooms/rest stop? 10AM?

I figure I'll be at your house a tad before 8:30. In fact I'll probably be driving the Jeep....I'll make a decision then if I'm gonna take it or not....I'll get loaded as if it were going all the same though.

Sounds good, as long as we are rollin by 915 we should be at the off ramp round 10. I will shout out or location along the way via cb

10:00 was the plan at Buckman Springs I'm going be at the Greenfield ramp about 9:15 waiting for a possible caravan out. Stop by if you want.
See ya.

FYI, if I get to the buckman exit first, I'll be parked at the rest stop. You go left at the bottom of the ramp, and make a right into the rest stop area loop. There are restrooms there and plenty of parking on either side.

If you're coming down the 67, swing by and knock on the door. Jeep's back on the ground, sags a tad. I'll figure it out later. Still haven't gotten the go ahead yet. From my place to the entrance of the park, it's about 35 minutes. I'm by the 67 and Mapleview.
