Sounds totally right to me!!
I can get an adventure pass right here at Big 5 in Apple Valley. I'll get one this week.

What's being shot? I _really_ need to finish my mega's. This is tempting since I live a little over a half hour away. MikeG you up for it? Wonder if Kevin's ribs are up to it?

So since I've gotten the Jeep back to 4wd this weekend, count me in. Let me run through what I've got and if I can get some feedback to whether I'll be able to run the trails. I have tow hooks on the front, reciever on the back. I had a D ring shackle on it, but somebody stole my D ring on base. Locked front and rear. No gps or Cb. Will I be alright right All terrains out there?

Yes and yes to your questions . I would recommend CB's for everyone, but know that not everyone has the cheese to afford one, My recommendation to deal with this is at a minimum having a cb in the trail leader and tail gunner that way if anyone in between gets stuck or needs a spotter they are not lost.

I didnt get one last time should I have?

It seems to me that it is for people that are parking their vehicle and leaving it... like for camping... but I'll find out Monday for sure if we need them.

Nothing special. I will have a 12 guage and a case of clay pigeons... and 2 .22's and a steel .22 target.

Sounds like you'll be fine on recovery points. Do you have a lift/bigger tires or any armor? It is pretty rocky in some spots. With no lift or armor, I would say there is a chance at some damage... but being locked will definately help get up the hill.

No problem on the GPS or CB.

Not sure what Homebrew was gonna bring to shoot but I was going to bring a 12 GA, .357, and maybe a Mini 14...

Usually there's lot's of stuff already out there to shoot at but I'm sure we can bring some fun targets.:explosion

Sure.

I'm running RE 4.5 w/ drop brackets and 285 Nitto's. And for armour I just have the Transfer case skid plate.

I'm not sure if homebrew is coming out to the range.

Just wanted to add something, before I make the trip out this weekend. This is my first time solid offroading. I've done my fair share of illegal or urban wheeling as I like to call it. My real experience with this rig is 0. Tips, thoughts or advice??? Just wanted to be open, instead of showing and being a clown

In my opinion, just have fun. Sounds like your rig is plenty ready for this run... and being locked/locked, you may have to lead us up the hill... and pull some of us open/open trucks up with you!!

For me, this will really only be my second time wheeling at Corral Cayon, and I think it is Homebrew's 2nd time there as well. Sounds like a couple guys (markw and mikedashg) have more experience on those trails. Just follow the truck in front of you, and someone will spot when it gets rocky.

Wooohooo, I am getting excited for this run!!

Can we get a head count?
I will be installing a gas tank skid this week much needed becasue I almost crushed the tank last time luckly the rock jumped up and hit my hitch instead.

This is only my second time.

i will go shotgun.. i have been with my older brother a few times in his jeep (87 2dr) we were in tahoe thow. but im always down for riding shotgun.... the more exp the better.

I just called the Ranger, and she told me that Corral Canyon IS open, and adventure passes are required if we stop at all.

She basically said if we keep moving through the trail without stopping, we're ok without them, but if we want to stop at all and hang out, then we are required to have them.

I will have one.

Head Count:
1 - homebrew
2 - ocean_jet
