We flogged the heck out of XJ! Proud of my boy and team for their support. It is a shame the girls didn't get a chance to go. It kicked my old fat arse is all I know! LOL!
Carnage Pre-run:
- a broken ujoint
- smashed out rear door window
- body damage
Race Day:
- Caught up to rig in front of me near Los Primos
- Almost flopped
- Backed into tree hard and shattered rear glass.
- Winch recovery by my boy Drew
- To los primos and could not get up the Fawking hill with the BFG KM1s caked! Gave it a running start and launch it into the air.
- Broke short shaft
- Grenaded ujoint.
- Got in a buggy's way
- 2 Winch attempts at hill
- Over Vditch near RBD
- To Mall Crawler and flogged on it not knowing shaft was broke we almost flopped.
- Backed down went to right lines at RBD middle first.
- Pulls left again still thought it was terrain.
- Third line, far right line at RBD where I've made it before.
- 1/4 of the way up it pulls left
- We went into a slide and up onto two wheels and almost rolled down the hill. Would have been at least 1 1/2 or two rolls.
- Backed out of it into the tree.
- Can't pull up the damn rocks now.
- Drew to winch.
- Winch cable all fubar
- Jambing clutch
- Drew slips off engage/disengage knob
- Thumb goes into the outboarded plastic fans
- Now he is in pain and jumping around.
- Calm him down and get pressure on finger and assess.
- Send him on ATV to get medic attention.
- I'm chillin for a bit but worked on winch for at least an hour.
- Holding screw broke and cable spinning on drum
- cross sections broke and cable flapping
- cable gets into hot lead and sparks
- BMan gets the F'n BFH and wacks it into submisson (felt good!)
- Control box and cross members now off.
- Still can't get it out.
- Fawk this it's beer time!
- Walked back and since track was clear I threw in towel so Per and Drew can get me. Thank You Per!
- Ate Lunch
- Watched most of Bomber Race
- Out to recover.......
- Winched up RBD, winched tie-rod/drag link partially back in place.
- Drove back to camp

- Ujoint MIA
- Stub shaft condition unknown
- Rear Quarter panel window I have no clue where it popped LOL!
- Rear hatch demolished
- Rear window all over MM and chucky
- Body damage
- Ball Joint or knuckle damage
- Tie-rod and drag link trashed
- Winch broken and more done by BFH & BMan
- Winch link kinked bent and now junk. Fawk metal lines even though synth has issues too!
- More possibly broken.....
