Yeah it was with the new joint housings, not the old dual snap ring style joint. I tried it with so many replacement bushings and a prototype and had a 0-12 batting average, or around there. Still got a pile of unused bushings and like 12 spare joint housings.
i get my jeep back today with the new joint installed and i will let you guys know how the johnny joints are i know they will be 10x better than RC's joints. but i love everything else that RC makes and their customer service is great
ok so i just got the jeep back from being aligned and having the johnny joints put in and let me tell you huge world of difference! don't even bother about having to rebuild and rebuild and rebuild just buy johnny joints and you will never have the problem every again.
Ok Ok so I decided to stay out of this thread simply due to the fact that I had nothing really good to say to ease yalls mind about the faulty joints. However I have been informed that in roughly a weeks time our new ones will be in and "should" fix most if not all of everyones issues. I will be honest with yall and if the new ones come in and I think they are junk I will not even bother trying to puch them on you guys but if I think they will fix it I will tell you.
Sorry again for all the headache and troubles over these junk joints and hope to be able to correct everything soon

Are we going to be able to call you and get these replaced for free? Or is there a charge for this? I haven't read every single page but I ordered these a couple of months ago and just put them on my jeep but haven't wheeled it yet. I would love to get the replacements and not worry about it!
yes you will be able to call me to get them replaced. The charges if any will be per situation so I cant really say yes or no to that. Hope that helps and we should be good to go very soon.
well i ordered the johnny joints and they are 100% better but i am sure that RC will fix their little hickup and or join with Currie but what i am wondering is that will the johnny joints for the short arms fit the RC long arms???

The uppers are different but the lowers look the same. Are there any special instructions included? I see dual snap rings, which the older style joints used. The newer joints use one snap ring.
To answer the other question, Currie's joints will screw right in but the upper joints require a slightly larger bolt than what RC uses. It's just a hair larger. The cost is about $80-$90 shipped per pair depending on location.
I have replaced all my joints with currie joints and I am clunk free for the first time in a YEAR. Finally I am able to enjoy the benefits of long arms.
Crap man Im sorry I didnt see this earlier this week. Not sure how it happened but you somehow manage to get shipped the new upper bushings but the same old lowers. I truly apologize and I will send you a set of the new style lower joint bushings out next day air. Again Im not sure why you were shipped them. Please give me a call at 800-222-7023 ext 115 so I can get them coming to you.
