as is, or as was before the rugged ridge the rh link rod end would rub on the stabilizer bar bracket when the passenger side was at or near full droop, I guess I will put it to stock and go for a ride from there.

How do you measure how true the front end is? ie. distance from lower pocket to axle? I just want to make sure things are dialed in and straight before the alignment.

I will leave it as a bolt on kit
 
There is a chart out there (I will look for it in a sec) that tells you what length control arms to use with the drop brackets, per your lift height. Its a great starting point....

Thanks I referred to that chart a while ago when installing my adjustibles,just forgot where it was. I'll try the rc chart as it may differ from the re drop bracket kit.

I think my axle is where it it right now because I had to "adjust beyond the chart" because my bds arms would make contace with the lower control arm brackets at droop. No vibes but I was pulled over for swerving because of the caster angles. Its hard to go straight, and the wheel does not come back to center. I'm doing this so my girlfriend can use my jeep and the smoother ride

just got mine in hte mail, they arrived freakin FAST i was impressed. They did send me one off-sized washer.. oh well what can you expect from rough country
 
The instructions suck balls, there was no way to re connect the control arms with the tension of the coils springs in place. Oh and one side at a time did not end ep working in my situation, I don't know why. But once I pulled the coils it went together lickity split. Haven't really driven it yet, but for the short distance to the alignment shop it felt great.
 
another night and day outcome, these things are great, both on and offroad. It kinda floats over the rough crap. I used to feel every little bump,even when aired down.
 
The instructions are terrible, i agree. I cannot fit the alignment plates in the bracket with my new Rubicon Express super flex adjustables. I dont know what to do im stumped because it needs to use those bolts for the Braces. What should i do? I can fit my LCAs in there but i cant get the freakin plates in.................. Anyone with help please message me i gotta finish this build! Its midnight and were still hard at work!!!!
 
If the control arm is too pressed into the back of the pocket, and that is the problem, try using a bottle jack and a 4x4 or some such to shove the front axle forward a little bit, shove everything home and release the jack. You can use the back tire as a place to brace the bottle jack.

I ended up using a porta pack (little hand operated hydraulic ram ) with a spreader to open up the pockets a bit to fit it. It was otherwise impossible. I blame it on some heavy wheeling /flexing on the stock pockets with fixed arms. on one side I was able two utilize two big puttey knives and a mallet and it slipped in.
 
Hmm i have no idea what im going to do then because i dont have one of those. What the hell is the size of the upper control arm frame end mount? One end has a tab on it so you dont need to put a wrench on it, the nut though idk what size it is im about to strip it. Anyw help? My starter is right next to it so its being a pain in the ass to get to to begin with... need help!

what are you in the process of doing? I can only assume you are tring to fit the lower control arm with the whole shim thing (frame side) into the new lower arm location on the rc drop bracket.
 
I have postponed htat, i may try to run it without the shim alignment plate thingie. Well see, right now im trying to get the Upper Control Arm off. What size is the nut on there? Im having some difficulty.
 
I gave up, decided to move to my master/slave cylinder replacement, got that done, not its 3am im going to sleep. If anyone has any info on what i should do, please help as Im stuck and need to make some progress

According to what I wrote down, the factory mounting bolt used a 15mm, but the new bolt that mounts the drop bracket (to the same uca hole) used a 17mm...

(Also, rather than a jack braced against the rear wheel, I used a 3" ratchet strap looped around the axle and a fixed point in front of the jeep, to pull the axle forward... hope this helps! )
 
we fianlly got hte drop brackets on. Im a little confuesd though, should i fully close up the alignment plate? then tighten the LCA bolt? here are pics of how we fit it in, we used a clamp to spead it...

nice, I tighened the two 13mm first, then everything else
 
Just to throw out there for others reading this.
Mine went together perfectly

I also used Poly bushings.
Handles like a lifted sports car!
Great investment, well made, would buy over, and I've beat the snot out of them!
Just too bad it has squared off design would be nice to see something with rounded off edges to relieve grabbing. For less than $200 who cares, would be nice though.

Just reccomend mounting brace before bolting to D/B to "suck" up to D/B
 
Mine went somewhat good, except for the fact that the RE LCAs dont fit in with the alignment shoe, so i had to bend the metal with a splitter to fit them in, i really would have rather not had to bent and weaken the bracket, but whatever.

In addition, Rough Country sent mine missing a few washers, and the bag of bolts was torn open....
