Rough Country drop bracket install w/ pics

I have 6" skyjacker coils with Tomken control arms, the lower arms have a bend, do you think I can use the RC drop brackets with theese arms? or should I change to a straight arm?
I'm fine with "bent" arms. I still can't belive I drove on just short arms for so long

i has reading some where that TJ arms are the same as XJ arms. so my question is, would TJ rear lower RC adj.arms work with the drop brackets? the reason i ask is im at 4.5 of lift at the RC lower adj arms for our XJ's wont go short enough and the rear TJ arms adj from 13.625-15.625. and 15 is what the Drop brackets call for on 4.5 lift.

Here's a shot of mine, running re adjustable uppers fully collapsed and pro comp fixed lowers. I ran the tomken arms with no problems.

Was there a run to Corral Canyon that I missed? I'm looking at that date.

Had a last minute impromt run

Thanks, for the money they are great. There are a few nay sayers, but all in all I have been very pleased with mine and they have done everything that I have wanted them to do.

Good write up ...

Thinking about these instead of long arms..

Nick

I couldn't be happier with mine. And for the money, I'd never even consider longarms.

Let me know if you want to look at mine, or even test drive it for that matter...

See ya
Robert

I cant speak about these but I had rubicon express ones and if these are anything like them, which they look like they are, they are a great product. I had 4.5 inches of lift and I was able to use my stock control arms which for the 99% of the driving on the street it was great! I actually just talked to someone at rough country and got the naxja pricing so I'll probably be ordering these in a day or two :D. These are the last part that I need to finish off my lift :D.

Question, if I wanted to put a two inch spacer along with my 4.5 inch coils, what length control arm would I want? I was thinking maybe like the control arms from a normal 4.5 inch lift or maybe the 3.5 inch lift would work?

I am not sure off the top of my head, but go to RC's website and see if you can download the instructions, they have the varied lengths for various lift heights.

nice link. Thanks :D

well i'm just a retard or something....LOL....anyway...

Many thanks to Yucca-man for adding the RC stats to his chart/page, since the two brackets are ever-so-slightly different...

6 months after I installed them and not a lick of problems. The XJ has never driven so good. I put them to the test on a fairly regular basis and no issues.
Thanks RC.

I just installed RC Drop Brackets today. I'm still using the OE upper control arms. The most trouble I had during the whole process was getting the upper control arms off. Now it rides great and I'm sure it will be even better once I have a professional alignment done:)

My RC control arm drop brackets should be coming in about a week! I cant wait to get them on!

4.5" RE coils
1.75 Poly spacer
5.5" net lift
RCX DB's
Stock arms w/poly bushings (Cheap replacement part)
Great ride, CHEAP, does what it's designed to do.
Quality and workmanship were right on.
I have beat the snot out of these and have come down pretty hard on them.
All that remains after are a few scuffs and granite dust.
I want to round out the squareness of them to make it easier to slide off things and not so "grabby" on the rocks.

Hey guys, i have a problem here. I have exactly 4.5" lift up front and running the drop brackets. My issue is obvious:

The axle is too far forward, tilting the spring (upper coil is not seated correctly on coil spacer) and making the sway bar link bracket hit the coil spring.

What can i do to solve this? I love how it rides but concerned about this issue.

I have almost 6 inches, my springs look the same way. Do you have the spring seated correctly on the bottom?
