I have looked on the site and all I was about to find is rotors that require me to grind on the flange.

I'm trying to find a brake rotor to fit over the axle flange on my Ford 9". The flange has a diameter of 6 and 7/8" and need to be on a 5x 5.5 bolt pattern.

I have looked at
1980 cj7 rotors
1992 dodge ram 4x4 front rotors
1997 dodge ram 4x4 front rotors
2004 dodge ram 4x4 rear rotors
1978 ford dana 44 rotors

The closes one so far is the 97 Ram ones but I still would have to grind about 3/16" off to make them side over the flange. I would really reather not have to grind on the flange.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Expedition 8.8 rotors?

f-150 8.8 5 on 5.5 rotors have an e-brake on the inside and they might be looking at that...

thought i rememeber that the newest ones have drums, and the discs in back stoped again in something like 02...

If you take the rotors to a machine shop they will open them up to fit the flange. Wont cost much of anything and youll only have to do it once in a great while since rotors last forever.

Expedition is Metric 5 on 135 pattern, not to far from 5 on 5.5 but its far enough.

Just to save some time

I have had some luck with suzuki samurai front rotors. However, it isn't consistent. I have bought 3 or 4 of them now and 2 of them have fit over the flange without any grinding.

It could be brand related....I'm not sure. But it is another option.

well I bought a pair of sammi rotors but they don't fit over the flang plus they are 2 thin for the calipers I have.

I'm not sure that I want to have them machined out, it is going to end up making the walls very thin if I cut them down to fit over the flang.

I think that I'm just going to put the drums back on. I picked up a 9" tonight thats all there for $50 so I think im just going to make it all work.

Thanks for all the help on this topic,
Maybe I'll see some of you on the trails.

I remember a Lincoln that we had in the junkyard. It had a 9" rearend AND discs fromthe factory. I think that it was either a late '70s' or EARLY '80s' model and I believe it was a Continetal. HTH,

When I starded pulling the extra 9" apart I noticed that the flang was a LOT smaller and thiner the the one on mine.. I dont no if it is because its a ?27? spline not a 31 or if its older or newer then mine or what.
