Rooftops

Seeing who has built their own rooftop tent set up for their xj. Really considering building a bolt on platform (drip rail clamps) but curious who has done what. Thanks.

I've never seen a home built roof tent that was worth a shit. The only guy I saw that made something work was a dude who built a platform on a trailer and put his regular tent on it. Too much work if you ask me. I love the ability to keep all my bedding in my tent and have it set up in less than 5 min. Especially when the weather is bad.

That's pretty much all I've seen as well. Why I asked if anyone here had done it in case I was missing something.
