RoM 2010

Ok the RoM will be held on March 19th through March 21st.

I'm out of the picture unless that weekend lands on Spring Break.

I'll be there.

I will be there.... hopefully bringing the RV, and coming a day early to help prepare for all of the events.

I'm sure I can be there a day earlier to to help start it off.

I'll have all the bugs worked out of my rig by then, I will be there.

Where in Texas do you live? I am sure some one is kinda near by that will give you a hand.... or two.

He lives in the DFDub remember? He needs help with his gears. I don't know a thing about gearing, so I can't help him. If not I would.

Kinda random thought but what if we can get hold of an old(er) XJ on the cheap and have a raffle. $20.00 a ticket or so, maybe more. Maybe get some shops to donate some goodies toward it. Draw the winner at the RoM. That may be a way to get some extra money toward the event. I have seen lots of XJ's in the $300-$500 range that run.
Like I said, just an idea

Great Idea... you got the money to buy it?

We don't... lol.

I don't like the idea. Why would I want another xj? Mine is already built as much as I can build right now to my liking. Why would I want another one that's less developed? How would I get it home?

Sorry, but no thanks.

If I get the settlement that I was quoted I would be willing to sping for the XJ. Then we could get sponsors for the add on's. I will check with Texas Truck Works and see if maybe they could throw something in. On getting it home, I have use of a 15' trailer or hopefully it drives, anyway as I said just a random idea right now. I do know that other organizations have made a bunch of $$ with this kind of deal. As I think about it I was in a VW club that did something like this and they raised $7-$8k on the auction...

Simple math bro...

Ya win and sell it for $500....you've spent $20 on the ticket....You've made $480 profit.
