At least yall knew that rolling was a possibility tackling different off-road obstacles. My first XJ I rolled, I was dropping my brother off down this 200' one lane dirt road. I dropped him off, backed up doing about 20-25mph and thought I could whip it 180* where it fed into what I thought was loose gravel pavement. I did a slow roll onto my roof. The DS a-pillar was screwed, but was able to get it bent back out enough to glue a new windshield via a 4"x4"x6' and floor jack with the weight of the Jeep on it. The second roll happened in my third XJ(nice gray metallic 2dr ax15) when I merged onto 295s from 695 @75-80 and didn't wait for the dotted lines. I fishtailed on the loose debris, was facing the right guardrail at a 45*, over-corrected left, and when the Yokos decided to grip, rolled 2.5xs over the left guardrail and into the grassy median. When the wrecker came, he wanted to winch it 300' back to the nearest opening after he got it on its wheels. I told him he could back it up once flipped back over and he laughed and said "yeah right". Sure enough it started right up, smoked a bit, and he was able to back it up. Needless to say I'm a dumb@$$ on both flops. Another flop--me and college buddies played indoor soccer at Red Rose in Lancaster(well Centerville) on Sunday nights. We helped out with a youth group. We leave out the parking lot in his hideous fuschia 85cj7 and he remembers he forgot to sign this H.S.er's yearbook. He turns around goes in and signs it and then comes back out. We are now in a rush, cause we were already pushing it when we first left. This church was recently built and there was a 200-300' long mound of backfill with 2-3' of grass on the right side that was 10-15' taller than the road below it. He decides to drive on it on the way out doing 25-30mph. He's in the ds seat w/o a seatbelt on, our other friend is in passenger seat w/ seatbelt on, and I'm in the back w/o seat belt. As we come over the apex, I get this feeling and stand up while holding onto the rollbar: I see that the dirt no longer comes back down to meet the road to our left--it has been chopped out and used for its intended purpose. Buddy has no time to brake, we are flying and nose-diving 12' and right before the nose hits I superman straight forward springing off the floor, hit the ground in front of the CJ and roll. The CJ rolled to passenger side and he got a face full of dirt. I walked around in the corn field for a bit before they realized I was no longer in the Jeep. I've had a bunch of NDE's.
