anywhere here around NW Indiana that would tackle fab and install of a rollcage for my XJ? I am going to give meyers 4x4 a call in LaPorte but I am not sure if they do fab. Or is anyone looking for some fab work - I don't have any material but will gladly pay for services, and can assist if needed.

JCR is in Kalamazoo. It's a bit more of a drive, but it'd be done right. Great guys to deal with.

PM Bigbadwolf54 he (or his brother, not sure what one this is) just got a cage done somewhere in the Frankfort Il. area on his XJ. It will be a lot closer then Kalamzoo

I recommend not doing any business with Motion Offroad. Search here on NAXJA to get the skinny on what kind business Motion Offroad is.

Well before the reading of the NAXJA thread I was going to go there, but now I am searching for a different place. That is why I started this thread - lol.

If you're not wanting to make a long drive, you might want to contact this local guy and see if you can talk him into doing a cage for you: http://www.roxtarfab.com/contact.htm

He does Land Rover stuff, but it looks like he wheels a Samurai-based buggy under all of the Land Rover skins. I'm sure he can bend up a cage for you if he wants a change of scenery.

Just buy the material from AAA Supply in Schereville, and order some floor plates from www.ruffstuffspecialties.com . AAA Supply sells HREW and DOM tube the cheapest out of all of the places I've called into, and they're cool guys. They mostly sell to iron working and concrete companies, but they sell to the public also.

Ahh yes! Rockstar Fab is another great choice. That guy has a little bit of XJ experience too. Very cool "dude".:D

There is one of the pictures. There are two more in the picture forum and I can take more if you want me to.

Dang - those are pretty sweet. Thanks everyone so far for all the info - now its going to be hard to decide between one of em. Course my top would have to be different - preferred inside for the fact my soft top on the XJ is already made, and wouldn't be able to fit over an external top of the cage as shown. Also is there a way to design for mine being a 2 door so its still somewhat easy for backseat passengers to access the rear seats? Though its not a deal breaker kind of thing is it can't cause its a wheeling only rig and very seldom have rear seat passengers.

How much did that end up costing for that owner?

X2...that is one of the better looking cages I have seen both internal and external

There are alot of variables in the cost of a cage like that. This owner removed his entire interiour as well as came up with most of the design on his own. He also had sliders available for mounting the A-hoop to. We did not have to do any work with the headliner nor did we have to reassemble the interiour (thus making his price much lower then if we did).

In same situations as above, this cage would run about $1850 + tax out the door.

If you don't have a roof on your XJ, the cage price and design will be much different. If you want an idea of what a 6 point cage without a roof would cost, feel free to give us a call or shoot us a PM. JcrOffroad 269-353-1184
