Rocktoberfest 2011 - October 21st-23rd, Rausch Creek PA

seriously.

What's your budget? There is a real nice motor (H8PVMT's) sitting on my back porch, buy it and I will bring it to you next time I go to NYC.

Jay (90XJay) also has a motor sitting here, it's in a jeep so I'd have to pull it, not really a big deal though.

So ... what debacle? All the reports I read following the event seemed to indicate everything went well.

On another note, rumor has it that the NJJA has "leadership" issues & there won't be a Crawl" this year. Dunno if it's true ... but back to the "debacle" ... Please elaborate.

I might add that many people in Naxja go to great lengths and expense to get out to this event, and want to get the most time and trails that they can when they get here. We have a 3 hour run to do Rausch, Lavern, but many others run and tow for much more than that to make this event, and even locals like us sacrifice paid workdays to make it out. Trying to schedule it so that all involved can get the most out of it is what makes this "unofficial" event sooo popular! I look forward to this run like no other, it's a great time of year to camp and wheel, and sit around enjoying the warmth of the fire and the good company, and I know many others feel the same.
Viva RockToberFest!

Realistically If its a renix motor I can swing it in a few hours... If its an H.O I going to need everything that goes with it such as wiring and maybe fuel system if thats necessary. If I can get one cheap enough (Broke since I'm back to school) then Ill get it ready for rocktoberfest.

it's a renix bottom end with an HO head on it I think, but I'm pretty sure you can put your junk on it.

whats rausch like in relation to paragon. i have been to paragon several times but never rausch. trying to make sure the jeep is totally ready to see some more difficult trails.

I doubt my shitbox is making it but I forsure will be there

Your jeep is definately set up to runs blues and blacks, youll be fine esppecially since your no noobie to wheeling with a clutch.

haha it will be much easier with this jeep too, it was hard as hell to use the ebrake in my yota on the trails cause it pulled straight out from the dash.

i finally got it in driveable condition, seems to be going pretty good, making lots of progress.

Ebrake? Sounds fancy!

Ebrake? Sounds fancy!

i dunno if its right or wrong but sometimes when i was wheelin the yota and needed to hold the jeep on something and was juggling the pedals i would use the ebrake for assistance.

probably not the right thing to do but it made things much easier on steep terrain with rocks were i was trying to stop and go stop and go.

like i said probably not the correct thing to do but it helped me out quite a bit on one climb up some rocks at paragon. i was able to stop the rig, hold it where it was and work the clutch and gas without having to worry about the brake pedal.

Hand throttles suck

Throttles have two settings, yes and no. Mostly yes.
