Rocks And Valleys - Labor Day Weekend

He is also one of the many guys at rocks and valleys that was helping us during our issue that occurred this past weekend.

He came to a dedicated jeep site to see how Macgyvrs wife was doing. We all are doing the same thing, just different breeds. He's good in my book.

Thats all good, but I don't go into the Exploder forums and start bashing them for the POS they are. To each his own. I could care less if you drive a pink Kia. I just don't find it smart to come to a Jeep site & start ripping on chit we all ready know about them, if you don't even own one.

I agree with your opinion here too Nick.

I was trying to explain his presence here.

i think he has started to sway from his intended reason for signing up here.

The difference between an Exploder 6 & a V-8, is that it has 2 more cylinders to take a chit. Oh yeah & the whole gas hog thing.

I'm not going to argue with you old man... :kissyou:

The only good thing to ever come from an Explorer is the 8.8 :D:D:D:D

If the selection of retarded Ford Explorer owners realized they bought an SUV and not a car, they wouldn't have been so worried about ride quality, the dealers wouldn't have recommended lowering tire pressures, if they drove a little more sensibly and didn't have to make abrupt maneuvers at highway speeds, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Bottom line, the fault lies with the consumer for expecting more from their vehicles and the individual dealers for giving them shite advice. Not at all the tires fault.

*I am in no form connected to the Firestone tire company aside from my last name. They do not pay me to stand up for them. I just prefer to educate people rather than let them believe something that blatantly isn't true.*

Dang, you mean running less than 29 psi in your tire & driving down the highway may be unsafe. Excuse me for a bit I have to go air up the 32's.. Oh wait those , those were what, 215's,225's, 235's.

My parents had a set of those firestone tires on the same blue explorer. When that recall came out I went and looked at their tires. I don't know what the psi was in them, but they were cracked all the way around on the cap. I put my stock XJ rims on with the stock XJ tires I had when I bought mine. That blue explorer looked funny with gold honeycomb rims on it until the tire place had replacement tires in stock to replace their firestones.

Those tires were junk, firestone made a junk tire. If it would've been on other suv's of the time there would've been the same issues.

The best entertainment I've ever got from an explorer is the old explorer forum thread about not getting herc on your hootus...

how do i get herculiner off my hootus?!

Ahhahahahaaa I remember that! I wasn't on naxja, but I was on a lot of ford forums because I was working on my '58 F100...

My understanding is that a Ranger is an Explorer with a bed, if that is the case....I love them. I beat the living piss outta my Rangers and they just ask for more.

not even relalated Rev total different vehicle. They are dropping the Ranger this year cause it gets the same MPG as a F-150, go figure. And no it's a totally different rear axle.

Depends on the year of the Ranger, after all they are all classified (Explorers, Rangers, Navajo, Mazda B2000) as RBV's or Ranger Based vehicles. The explorer was blessed with the 31 spline 8.8 but the ranger of the same year most likely had the 28 spline 8.8

No I'm not coming here to rip on any vehicle as I know each has their own issues like I said. I just like to read different forums and learn tech on different vehicles.

here is my junk as it sat while removing the motor.
