I just picked up a rubicon dana 44 front end and need 488 gears installed by a real pro. I've installed gears befor and I'm not one. Any recomendations in the Denver area or south of Denver. I can bring the housing minis the outers and axels.

How much does he charge?

Once the new job comes (June!) Im gonna need to get some 4.88s installed as well.

Also, IDK if he's still doing it, but theres a guy on CO4x4, I think his name is "justinTJ" or something along those lines, he did my 4.10s for me, and did a good job. Had some problems w/an EZ locker, but he reinstalled it twice before I finally gave up on it.

PS: He charged 150$/axle.

I second this.

Thanks guy's, I just noticed this thread.

I'm actually starting to get pretty busy doing these and I appreciate the referrals!!! I think i've done 5 or 6 of the NAXJA members.

I do these after hours in the bodyshop that I manage, so I'm not promoting myself as a gear shop or anything. I was a mechanic for almost 20 years before I got into body repair and I was taught gear installs a loooong time ago, at a transmision shop I worked at.

Now that wheeling season is here I don't have as much time available, but i'll still do a few a month.

I've been charging $100.00 to $150.00 per axle depending on in the vehicle or out, type of locker etc.

Just PM me if I can help

Terry
