Falcon 556 asked me for information about the OEM cruise control I purchased from Jeeps-R-us http://www.jeepsareus.com/Merchant2...JAU&Product_Code=CCCSK&Category_Code=CHEROKEE (also have a '99-2001 kit) and installed in a '98XJ.

I know Jeeps-R-us will not mind showing it as it could lead to more sales for them. Personally, I would go with a NEW kit and not get involved with a 'junk-yard-dog'. Keep in mind that the new clock spring alone for a c-c will run you $109.00. In my mind $249.00 for a spanking-new one is CHEAP compared to possible headaches involved with something a few dollars less! Everything is there.
I hope this helps you Falcon, and maybe someone else will benefit from it also.
Cheers!
It was a "piece of cake" to install... plug and play. Only 'fly in the ointment' was the nightmare-ish bout with pulling the steering wheel. Read: about the 4th entry down...http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=48171falcon556 said:I went to the web site and found the kit.
I am interested. Did the kit come with instructions?
Do you still have the instructions? If so, could you fax them, email them or just send them to me any way possible?
I'd like to see what is involved first.
Quite frankly, I might even use that knowledge to buy cheaper salvage parts.
My son is leaving for boot camp in a few days and it would be nice to upgrade his jeep by the time he returns.
My Jeep is a '99, what year is yours? It seems that from
99 to the end they made some changes.
TIA
