Replacement Carb.

I posted yesterday asking about replacing my stock carb. in my 87 YJ with fuel injection from a newer jeep or cherokee and got more that I bargined for. So.... does anyone know of a good replacement carb?

Yep. Get the 2bbl off of a small Ford(302 or smaller), use the 2bbl/2bbl adapter plate from a parts house, bolt on and enjoy. Did this to my 1973 CJ-5. No more smoke, chug,bog etc.. Oh, you might drop the float just a little bit to avoid sidehill issues.

So I probably could buy a repacement carb from the local parts house... what year would you recomend?

Prolly around a 1972-74 (pre-emssions) Mine actually spec'd for a 289.
