Refurbished laptops?

I don't know if it's that good of a deal. Dell has new laptops starting at $650...Oh and it looks like it has $100 mail in rebate on top of it.

They start at $750 before the $100 rebate.

so if you figure that it comes with warranty and more memory and bigger HD and more memory... $450 sounds like a bit much.

Man, that thing has lots of memory... :confused1 j/k!!

I don't need anything huge or special. Just something that I can play games, surf the net, and play DVDs on. Worse comes to worse, I can always add more memory manually.

That price went up cause if you look at the main page it says 650 inside it says 750 and in the morning both had 650.

OK, what kind of games? cause with that one that you posted about you will not be able to play almost any of the most recent games. And memory upgrades? old memory is ussually more expensive then new memory: Look at the costs of it before you spend the money on the laptop.

Lastly: do you really need a laptop? Unless you're on the road often invest money into a desktop and then for $400 you can put together a rather nice one.

Wouldn't know...didn't see it this morning.

I'm not into buying games for the PC...I have a PS2. I have a few games on CD-ROM that I play regularly...nothing major.

Okay...didn't say I would need it...it's just an option.

Yeah dude, my girlfriend lives 100 miles away and the desktop she has is junk. I commute back and forth every week; I basically live there half the week so I need something to occupy my time with her being at work and in school too.

I don't want to start something with you man...it just seems like you're getting edgy. :wierd:

I am also in the market for a cheap laptop. I have been looking around for a while and have seen some good deals on ebay. I have been looking for something around a 1 gig, 256 ram,20 gig hd, cdrw/dvd. I am not too picky about the processor, but will not have a proprietory system(dell, gateway). I have found a few for around $500 on ebay. Just look alot for good deals, they are out there. Good luck
P.S. I am sure I spelled proprietory wrong. Sorry
