Redbird Fall Clean-up Sept 27th, 2014 ***WIN A WINCH!!!***

You guys should make sure to bring your gloves. I've been talking to Redbird about some work that needs done.

More to come on that.

I am out. I knew it was going to be soccer season, but I didn't know I would be traveling for work for almost two weeks of soccer season.

I said work and you guys run!

mac 'gonna be a good trip' gyvr

I'm always down for trail cleanup and good outdoor work. The weekend happens to be the same as my 20th High School reunion. Being in the military I haven't made it to one yet. Got to make this one. Lots of great friends I haven't seen in 20 yrs.

Any weekend in October and I'm in.

The clean up day is the 27th of Sept.

See you all in two weeks!

for those that have not been before:
what type of items do i need to bring?
do i need to make sure there is space in my jeep?
is there electrical where we camp?
do i need a flag or sticker?
do i need anything besides my jeep?

never been to one before, just like to be prepared.

Bring whatever you usually bring wheeling.

Leave space for a trash bag.

Electrical, yes. How much I'm not sure.

No flag or sticker.

Bring work gloves. In the past people have brought hand tools (shovels, pruners, etc) but I'm not sure what all we will need this time.

Bring gloves at least, I still have some NAXJA trash bags too.

I'm trying to get us into some work, but we shall see if that all works out.

There is electricity, it is a bit limited, bring a 100 ft cord and you should be ok.

Clean your Jeep out, sounds like there's a bunch of guys coming without Jeeps that will need rides.

Redbird station is the campground we are staying at and it is located at CR 350N and CR 1550W in Dugger, IN. If you google Redbird station, it will show up in the mapping. The address listed is 3475 N 1550W, Dugger, IN, as I recall it wouldn't go into my GPS like that, can't remember exactly what I had to put in to map it.

So, if you are taking I70 from wherever, to the Brazil exit and coming down SR 59 to SR 54:

PS, these directions were written for me, so you may need to adjust the exit off of I70 or route that you would take if not coming from the east.

54 West towards Dugger. Before you get to town, turn Right (North) on County Road 1500 W. There should be a sign for Redbird SRA. There will be a road that T's in from the left, turn on that road (CR 350 N) and follow it to the campground. You will pass the park entrance before you get to the campground.

OR: You can turn Right (North) on CR 1550 W from SR 54 and take it directly to the campground. I can't advise the condition of that road, or if it is clear enough for your big trailer. Last time I went down it it was rather rough.

Park entrance on the right (red), campground to the left (yellow)

Those coming print this waiver out if you can and bring it with you.

If you can't I'll have some.

mac 'the if you die stuff' gyvr
