I carry a bar of soap with me in my tool bag.
I thought I was an off roader, having ridden bikes and buggys in the desert for many years, I got nothin on some of these guys.
We were on John Bull a couple years ago and I smacked my oil pan on a rock and got a leak... I thought I was done.
One of the old timers in my club came over with a bar of soap, rubbed it on the hole and it stopped the leak.
After topping off the oil, I drove the whole trail, spend the night in big bear, then drove home to Temecula, left the jeep sitting till the following weekend when I had the time to replace the oil pan... Not a drop leaked out that whole time.
You can plug holes in your oil pan, radiator, gas tank, pretty much anything that holds fluid. AND you can wash your hands with the same bar of soap when you're done.
