I'm lookin to pick up a tablet on black Friday. I'm not gonna use it for work or anything serious..
Just games and apps. Most importantly tho,I do plan on using it for navigation off and on road in the xj. I'm gonna build a little mount for it and whatnot. I obviously don't want to spend a fortune (why I'm going on bf). What's good and user friendly out there??

TIA

User friendly means a lot of things.

Do you want to plug it in and have it work the first time with no issues along with a stable OS and pretty robust hardware? Buy an iPad mini.

Do you want to be able to tweak it, bend it, make it bend to your wishes and don't really care if it crashes once in a while and you might have to fiddle with it to keep it running? Buy a new Google thingamajigger.

Do you want it to be somewhat sort of capable of interacting with your windows computer at home? Buy a Microsoft Surface.

I'm thinking the iPad may suite my needs..

Btw, your Sig is hilarious

I'll have to look up that MOTO tablet. I just want something that I csan count on when i need iit

No problems with my Nexus 7. I recommend it.

Using an hp touchpad. Discontinued but there are still floaters and refurbished ones around. WebOS has a small but tight and resourceful community and the OS is easy to use. The tablet itself is a little weak but once you install a program to tweak the processor speeds you can up the dual-core from 1ghz to 1.7ghz.

samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1!!! awesome tablet! About to get Jelly bean as well

the nexus has had it for a while. It's built by Asus, and heavily subsidized by google.

there's simply not a better bang for the buck.

I also don't like that samsung puts their own tweaked interface on them.

Nexus is pure android.

I asked almost this same question a few months ago, the nexus 7 seemed to be the victor, so I bought one. No regrets, it does everything I want it too and more. Price was ideal compared to some of the other fruity crap out there.

I'm stuck between the nexus and the galaxy, I'm just gonna wait and see what kind of deal i can find

I have been looking into the samsung tab 7 plus. Its a little older but has 16GB of internal storage and is made by samsung and has GPS. I also use Backc[untry Navigator currently on a Samsung GS3 and it seems to work well off line so long as you DL the maps of the area you are in prior to a trip. The price of the tab is in the 200 range and can be found on amazon.

good luck.

That's probably the route I'm going to go.

Sweet Sig BTW lpl

You are comparing apples to jelly beans...so to speak.

Now that the iPad mini is out that is a lot closer in size and features and also a lot closer in price.
