Receiver shackle 1.25"

do they make a receiver shackle with a shank size of 1.25"? what im using now is a reese class 2 with a shackle where the ball would go. i keep thinking the weld might give but then it is all being held in by a pin that i dont know the rating of.

do you think it will be alright to keep using the setup i have now? i have already dragged it out of a mud pit with no problems

FWIW I bought reciver hook at harbor freight for like $10 , they had a reciver with a shackle right next to it. Might be worth lookin at if you have a harbor frieght near by.

i have seen the 2" shank one but i havent found a 1.25" shank. i guess i could grind down each side so i could fit the shackle on the end and drill a hole in it.

i just dont see how the class 2 hitch can be weaker than most bumbers that i have seen. mine has 3 bolts per side 2 grade 8's and 1 grade 5 more than most bumbers i have seen. even though you may have 3/8" solid steel fully boxed rear bumber it still has to attatch to the XJ. Seeing as there is no true frame id think that would be the weak point.
