Just because something works doesn't mean its good. Look at out current president for all the proof you need there. I've had a front setup to travel like crazy and it would regularly drop the springs, I found it to be very unstable going down hill or down an obstacle. In the end there are limit straps, bump stops, and torsion bar style sway bars on competition rigs for a reason. My short arm lift flexes and works just fine for me, does that mean I should start a thread posting up about how superior my short arm suspension is? As far as I'm concerned this threads sole purpose is for you to stroke yourself and blab about how great you are. I personally don't care. I'll run my XJ on 32" A/T's and short arms up Spring Creek right now and get through the trail with out body damage. Will I do all of the "hardcore" line? No, but I'll make it through and then drive my Jeep comfortably home. There is no tech at all in this thread so the mods might as well move it all into the Colorado BS Thread because thats all it is, a bunch of BS
Lol... Mine drove home at 80 with the AC on.... and passed the quick look by my mom to make sure it didnt look bad.
I will do that line on spring creek next time. I ran penrose today with the guy you posted videos of, nice guys, gunna be hanging out with them every wednesday and most weekends wheeling here to come. I followed them up patriot. Due to his crazy amounts of droop he flopped 2 more times then me. Not because of the wrong line, but accesive droop.
He is running a full inand out cage on his. If he had limeted his travel more he actually would not have floped. You would need to be there to understand i guess...
You're still trying? This is another "well my d35 hasn't blown up and its welded on 35's".
Waste of time man. He knows everything. Obviously.
Sweet storyShop in Commerce city has a a head fabricator that will tell you exactly what works what does not and what's for posers ...And this person sat telling me my friend was a poser for running a d30 on 36's and 39's , And then what did I spot under his rig in almost stock trim running 37 Iroks...lol...An F'n d30 ,and he's been running it for awhile and done every hardcore trail in the state ...he also stated a Wheelbase much longer than 106 just will not work in this state , But yet his future build plans are with a wheelbase mucgh longer than 106...I guess he's moving to the South east ?...
which is exactly why I said :Point I never take what I'm told as absoulute be all on a subject like this because the experts usually contradict their own statements , So I just learn as I go by seeing what works for me first hand .
You would need to be there to understand i guess...
This is a thread just like any other in here...I don't need Dutch's permission to start a thread...I know you ran Spring Creek...ummm....got any pics of you running up on tree line with the YJ on 42's...ummmm...nope...so go drink a tall glass of STFU... The creation of this thread was not to illustrate my greatness...(that's already established)....it was in rebuttle to a statement made that unseated coils provide ...ZERO ...traction at the wheel...and that's just not true ...thus the reason for the thread...And how can a man running a leaf sprun YJ chat about works vs works well ????...Yeah I went there ...BOOOO YAAAA :laugh3:
I don't care two shites about your rebuttle and I don't care two shites about your redneck monstrosity of a Cherokee. Furthermore, you do need my permission to post anuthing on here because I am Dutch and therefore the almighty knower of all. Even Yogurt comes to me for advice. The sooner you realise that the sooner you'll understancd how the world works. No quit your stupidity or I'll pimp slap you so hard you go plaid.
lol. My dana 30 is made of some crazy unbrakium steel or something. We did a reverse dig in and out of a big hole on the exit with the back of the jeep having the spare tire jamed against a rock. I tell you whut, that damn front tire was wadded up like 3 times around that thar rim.
Plus, i can jump my rig. one ton, you cant, its to heavy, gravity would suck up the world to your jeep making it impossible to win at a skydriving competition.
No, there are no pics of me driving up a tree to get through the trail. You know why? Because I don't need to go off the trail to make it through the trail. Thats the exact kind of bullshite that feeds the liberals and fuels their fire on trail closure. I never needed 42's to run spring creek either, I did it n a stock Samurai, so eat it. I'd like to see you wiggle your way through that trail in a stock vehicle, of course that would require you to turn in your Redneck affiliation card and get away from having 20" of lift to clear tires that only measure 38". My overly sized tire equipped rig runs leafspring because they do work. The difference is I am also running all the requisite items for leafsprings. Its not my fault that coils and links require a lot more BS to work 100%, maybe you should quit half arsing your linked suspension and finish it already. You won't see either of my rigs unseating their springs (and yes I've had that in the past and LEARNED from my MISTAKES) because it does you shite little good.
