I have no pictures, so this is gonna be kind of hard to explain, but I really need some advice. I was trying to replace this thing so that my rear windsheild wiper squirter thing would work. The rubber extension from the actual wiper was just hanging there and not connected to the car. So, if you ever tried the squirter, it just got it all over the back of the car. My dad bought me this $8 part that we needed to replace. Little did we know this would be a nightmare.
So, first you have to open the back hatch and take off the back panel. The panel is only held on by shitty little plastic pieces that either break or get stuck when you take it off. So, we started by breaking most of those off... Wonderful. Then, there's the brake light that faces out towards the back window that sits above the panel. We couldnt get the wires disconnected for that and the wires went through the panel, so I got hold up the panel and this light contraption. Then, underneath the panel is the motor for the wiper that makes the wiper move and gives you the fluid. So, we disconnected the motor because it was the only way to get to relace that part. And then my dad broke off the whole wiper arm. A $50 part, probably. And the wiper arm is connected to the whole motor back there. So, I get to replace that too, I'm assuming.
I haven't looked any of these parts up, but I'm assuming it's not cheap. Has anyone EVER in thier life tried to do what I just explained. It was so much harder than I thought it was going to be. So, now I am left with still no fluid AND no rear wiper arm and wiper. I would have fucking ducktaped the little tube and nozzel if I would have known. What would you suggest? Buy the stupid parts or live forever without a wiper?
