i'm looking for a CLEAN way to install a sub in the back of my '01 XJ and i came across this (made by JBL).

it is actually made for a 1993-1998 grand cherokee, but because of the jeeper in me i'm wondering if parts made for other cars will work for my purposes.
here's the installation guide. the thing that i'm unsure of (while sitting here at work) is if we have 18" of space available from the rear of the right rear "storage pocket" up onto the fenderwell.
any thoughts?
