Rear steer install on an XJ

So last week I became a father...as seen here. Brooklyn Elyse Brenkendorff, 7lbs 15ozs.

While at the hospital an older lady driving down my road was kind enough to install rear steer on my XJ.

I wish she would have taken it a little easy on the shackle mount, but that is what a Chevy Malibu will do to an XJ I guess.

The positive here is that my new rockers survived the wreck. I am not sure what kind of cash I should see from her insurance, but I think it can be repaired. I am just not sure if I want to mess with it any longer. I haven't looked at the frame rail, but I don't think it is damaged and if so, not bad. Thanks for looking.

Your shock is not at the best angle, you might want to think about the upper mount.

Congrats on the beautiful daughter. Bummer to have to deal with insurance, police etc when you are getting 30 minutes of sleep each night! Should be a pretty easy fix, hopefully you get lots of $$ to fix it.

Just waiting for the insurance estimate, then I will decide on fixing her or upgrading. I am not quite sure what I want to do just yet.
