Rear main seal

I just tried three stores for a small brass drift for removing the upper seal, with no luck. The guy at Sears (had to replace some sockets) had no idea what a drift, pin punch, or awl was. Probably had no idea what brass was either.

The guy at Autozone was no better. Directed me to the socket isle because he said he removes upper seals with a socket :dunno:. At least he told me he had no idea what I was talking about.

I also checked Harbor Freight with no luck. They had a brass pin punch but was way too large.

I'll check Napa tomorrow. Where do people buy their brass pin punches?

PM 5-90, I think he has an idea about buying some copper or brass rod and cutting off what you need, in the length you need it, making your own RMS punches.
