Naw, paid for every bit of it myself, making pizzas wasn't all that bad. Parents hate that I lifted my car, especially my dad whose job is to watch the environment.

You can get anything you want if your willing to work hard enough to get it.

I am very proud of myself for being the sole reason my xj is the way it is and I am proud of all the other jeepers out there who are doing it on thier own.

Are those tow hooks mounted to that red xj's bumper? Good luck with that when he gets stuck if they are.

They are mounted to it, but it was a quick fix cause he sheered off his bolts or something, he has a winch bumper now.......at least he knew better than to hook anything to those....

just wondering how they make thousands of dollars in high school, that would make life awesome

:laugh3:

my jeeping carrier started when i met my wife and her stock jeep(97TJ). i just wanted to
go wheeling and we found this dodge power ram50 Piece of shit for cheap.

i bought her a brushguard, new wheels and 31's. (i like the jeep better than my truck)

newest addition to the family. 71 CJ5. hopefully ready by late summer06.

my wifes TJ was recently in an accident and is getting "fixed" with a HP dana30, 4"lift, SYE, new wheels w/33's,
new front bumper with 9000#winch, poison spyder rocker guards, etc...etc...etc....

and this x-mas my wife bought me a 3" lift for my XJ and gave me the wheels and 31's off of her TJ to put on the XJ.
it's also getting a new rear bumper from cassidy customs with D-rings and built in hitch receiver.

hopefully i'll be done "fixing" the TJ and putting the lift on the XJ in the next few weeks and then i'll post an update.

these jeeps just grow up so fast.

That looks fun

nice rig ..nice spex

Thanks, yeah it was fun. A little to wet for my tasts though. Busted a couple ujoints, but that will be all better once the 4340's and superjoints come in.

As for those still in highschool. Find a job at a carshop if you can they pay a lot better than burger joints and such. I bought my jeep for $700 the end of my sophmore year. it had a 2"BB and 30" mudtires. I worked that summer and last summer to get what i have now as a senior. i have work in shop starting and 7$ and hr and am now at 10. If you can put the lifts on jeep or trucks your self then sell your skills at school to your friends, im sure you know some kids whose parents pay well. i know i found some that payed for my gears. and another gave me their sons jeep after he rolled it. now i have a buggy project. i feel something like matts coming along. Another good way to save money is to build things yourself. i built my xmember and long arms and anti-wrap bar, bumpers and sliders.
