Oh yeah, I forgot the PVC schedule 40 driveshaft and the powdercoated frame rails.

The bumper is 2 3/8" 0.D. 1/4" wall tube, and two 1/4" steel brackets that mount on the inside of the frame rail using the front two factory bumper mount holes. I don't have any pics, but the process was super simple. I took off the factory bumper first and looked things over. I wanted a tube bumper that hugged tight along the bottom of the grille. First I measured across the front, total distance, then I cut the tube to length. Next, I found the center (it needs to be bent a tiny bit to hug the front form) I cut a slit with a disc 1/2 way around the tube, enough to leave a small gap. Then hold the tube and bang the other end of the tube against the ground until it bends on the slit creating the proper bend. I mocked it up on the Jeep, by holding it up in place for fit (2 people is a big help). The brackets are just 5 1/4" high x 4" rectangles, with a circle cut out where the tube rests. Two holes drilled in the brackets where the two front bumper holes are. I bolted the brackets in place, rested the tube in place. Made sure it was even and centered, then tacked it in place. Removed the bumper, welded the slit shut, welded the brackets. Spray can black - $23 total. I'll be adding wrap around ends sometime, it gets the job done for now. I can send pics later.

I was busy this winter.

01 XJ auto, 242, clayton LA, RK 8 inch lift, 15x8 Eagle alloys 4inch bs 6 bolt, bu$hwacker$, 35 inch MTRs, GWaggy d44's 4.56 electrac both front and rear. Memadedem rock rails, heavy duty front winch bumper and rear bumper with shorty adjustable height swing out tire carrier, quick release mudflaps, 3/8 inch steering box/bumper/swaybar support, extra tranny cooler, power steering cooler, centre mount limit straps, Atari 8000 lbs winch (aka. Costco special).

I can proudly say I did all the work myself... not bad for my first big rig build. Us Canadians have to have something to do in our igloos over winter!

98 XJ Sport, D30/8.25 stock gears and open for now (4.56's on there way), RE 5.5 XD, Bilstein 5100's all around, JKS adj. trackbar, JKS QD's, RE SYE with HAD driveshaft, Rigidco front bumper, C4x4 tow hooks, AJ rockrails, 33" Trxus MT's.... and some more stuff i just can't think of.

a new t-case skid is on its way as well as a m.o.r.e. steering box brace. still need to decide which gas tank skid to get. i finally have the time and funds to build the jeep properly.

Answer to questions: I did all the fabrication myself. I kinda like overkill when it comes to making bumpers etc. My front bumper has 3/8 plate steel down the outsides and under the swaybar mounts sorta like C-Rok steering plate. With 1/4 steel that lines the front and side mounts like ridgco bumper mount. The front bumper then slides inbetween the side plates and gets sandwiched for the mounts. Even my 3/4 D shackle mounts are welded both sides then a 9/16 grade 8 bolt for extra worry free extractions. I think the bumper has a total of 12 grade 8 (3/8) alone holding it to my heavyduty mounting system.

I don't really care that much about the extra weight (140lbs with winch) so long as it keeps me from sleeping in a mudhole.
