does anyone have the dimensions for the 5/8 builder ball, and the large super flex joint?

i remember RE used to have a drafting style drawing of their joints on the site with all the dimensions, which would be really helpfull right now.

i could really use this info, i am at the stage where i am going to build my cross member and i want to be able to put my radius arm mounts on at the same time. i just dont know how wide to make the space between the two tabs.

a link or anything would be appreciated

The bracket size is a pretty universal 2 5/8", which is the width of the joint at the ball, or bolt. Don't you have the joints yet? Normally, you bolt up the joint to the tabs and then tack them on. Welding distorts them so you need something inside to hold it. Or, you can do what a bunch of us do, and use boxed tubing with a 2 5/8" ID, like 3" boxed 3/16 wall.

Or buy off the shelf brackets.

ok, now for your guys' opinions...

i am running ford radius arms modified with 2"x .250" DOM with this set up, will i need the higher mis alignment of the 5/8 builder ball, or will the large super flex work just fine in this application?

The large super flex will work fine. I'd use mounting brackets made of 1/4" or better though if you're running raduis arms.

man i love this site...
when you combine the power of NAXJA and Pirate.... man the potential... i feel like i can do anything with this sort of power.

thanks

I run the large superflex builder ball on the ford radius arms, and they work fine, I just rebuilt the joints yesterday and everything was fine. just wore out the nylon race
