OK so I am driving into the parking lot of my moms store and I see this random bolt lying on the ground. I think well my trucks 20 years old it could very well be from it. So here it is:

Does it look like it could be from my truck, its roughly 2 and half inches long. There was also some weird ring that could have possibly been from my truck, about 3 inches across

well, of COURSE it COULD BE..... but I'm kinda doubting it, seeing how rusty it is. It looks to me like it has been sitting for a while. All the threads are rusted uniformly, and the threads have just as much rust as the rest of the bolt... I say it's not from your truck.

It's the bolt for your driver-side headlight. You need to tape it back on to the front of the lens. Duct tape is the best for this kind of fix.

Grimm, ya beat me to it :D

I honestly think it might be the bolt that retains the defibulator in conjunction with the muffler bearings and the ejection seat relay. They all work together in a trifecta of utardedism.

You are absolutely wrong, its the one that goes in his neck to hold his head on. He is very lucky to have found it. Who knows what could have happened.

It also may be the filler plug for the headlamp fluid judging by the weird rig factor. But... I am kinda leaning towards the utardedism due to the thread pattern.

Who doesn't?
They are the reincarnation of sexy.

To my well-trained eye, that appears to be a bolt. A rusty bolt.

Good thing you noticed that bolt is for your flux capacitor and exhaust coolant relay. With out it you would emit high temp exhaust gas ultimately contributing to global warming.

in all honesty it could be from your rig. i've worked on numerous jeeps that had hitches and other accessories installed at one time, and when removed some of the hardware ended up falling into the "frame" and/or other body panels. and maybe just now fell out.

BUT it's not anything you would have lost recently. if it worked it's way loose from your rig, then the threads would.....well "should" be cleaner than the rest of the bolt.

i believe you just found a bolt from that fell out of the bed of that rusted 1979 ford Truck that was parked there before you. it was probably laying back there with a ton of other trash, and just finally find a little hole in the bed that it could escape too.

now give the poor little guy a bath, and place him safely in your box of various nuts and bolts for future use.

I thought I was the only one who kept a magic box! I've fed it on occasion and kept it housed since the early eighties and whenever I need something I can find it in the magic box!
